I'm trying to catch up on all this. I just learned that McDonald's is shuttering all (850) its restaurants there temporarily.






Until this morning, I had the impression that Russian civilians were kept in the dark about what was happening and protesting groups were being arrested to keep the gravity of the situation under wraps.

The one saving grace there is he also refers to himself as a "stable genius" so it's reasonable to conclude he's using a Trump University dictionary.

 

What is a "smart" person? Surely one who takes words out of context to imply a false image may be smart..... but that is not the same as wise or honorable, and indicates the opposite.

Trump said:

"The problem is not that Putin is smart, which, of course, he's smart," Trump said. "The problem is that our leaders are dumb... and so far, allowed him to get away with this travesty and assault on humanity."

In that one sentence, Trump recognized that the Russian leader is a skilled player- but one of evil motives, and not a person of honor. He also recognized that our leaders are too dumb to be capable of recognizing both characteristics can exist at the same time, and so grossly misinterpret the situation and fail to understand the person as well as the danger.

Not grasping the full picture, they cannot help but make stupid decisions.

Hmm ... there's a lot to unpack there. I'll start from the top.

It was not a fake claim. Though Trump actually called Putin's Ukraine plan of attack "genius" and not necessarily Putin himself, that's irrelevant nitpicking on your part. After years of watching and listening to Trump on the subject of Putin, it's clear that he greatly admires the guy. Do you deny that?

I did get some egg on my face this morning, but that was literal ... I'm known to be clumsy with my food. An old friend gave me a chain with clasps on each end to hold a restaurant napkin under my chin like a bib. It was a gag gift, but I do use it, just not at home. BTW, did you know that egg is actually good for your skin?

As for running up hills: I don't run. Ever. I've had my left knee replaced, and it was pretty far gone by then, so no more running for me. Also, even just walking, I try to avoid hills.

Lastly, I rarely watch CNN. I prefer to get my news from neutral sources.

Its no different than Tucker Carlson stating Russia's position, why they are invading, and Bidens ignorance.

Just because someone claims their opponent is sharp or smart, it doesn't mean they are in love with them.
