    There are lots of intelligent people out there who are not geniuses.

    Putin is no genius. A genius would never have blundered the way he has in the last weeks

    Putin underestimated the Ukrainians and overestimated the abilities of his own army. That does not mean that he is still not a very dangerous individual who could have a few tricks up his sleeve.

    Oh, in that respect we are most definitely of one mind. Indeed, he underestimated the Ukrainians, overestimated his cobweb army and also grossly underestimated the resolve of the West; indeed, he is still very, very dangerous.

    All of which speaks AGAINST calling him a genius.

    Dude one capital policeman died and he died of a stroke, one rioter was shot to death. 4 people none of whom were within shouting distance of the riot died of heart attacks at the Trump rally. Given roughly 40k people at the rally average age north of fifty that's about what I'd expect. One if the jailed killed himself while in custody.

    Any complimentary word, phrase or gesture toward a lunatic with or without an implication toward one's own President and country is outrageously inappropriate.

    In what alternate reality is that even remotely okay?

    You can make that argument if you wish.

    It does not change the reality that saying something was a genius move does NOT equate to support or approval. It simply does not, and that was the characterization to which I was replying. I am not one that goes off arguing against strawmen to what was being discussed.

    FAW likes to lash out at me every now and again. Trump and his equally prone to tantrums groupies don't seem to be happy unless they are pouncing on somebody for no damn reason. I don't mind if it helps him some way. ;-)
