It was very funny to read when the author kept reminding me of his doubts about the production of the airplane.
However, as they say, ostriches hide their heads in the sand. Remember how in 2022 the Western media assured everyone that the Russians had no more missiles left. Or remember how Western media and military experts called Russian "Avangard" "Sarmat", "Kalibr" ...etc. - missiles cartoons. Now these media and experts are quiet. In general, it was funny to read about doubts.
Oh, come on. How are the U.S. and NATO doing in developing new weapons? Is there anything new? .... Or, as one Western military expert wrote - "America's military-industrial complex is too corrupt to win."

More Russian vapourware. It is funny.

It will be like the T-14 or the Su-57. At best Russia will build a handful while its propagandists yell and scream about their advanced weapons and its adversaries field hundreds or thousands of tanks and aircraft that are better....and actually exist. There are something

The US has more F-22s now than Russia will have of these in a decade. There are almost 1000 F-35s in service worldwide. The US will be fielding its next generation of aircraft before 100 of these are ever built.

Second best army in Ukraine pretending to be a cutting edge military power. So sad.

Sorry. But we're all still waiting for the SU-57 to actually become a reality! Not holding our breaths mind you, just 'waiting'. How about you get back to us with your wet dreams about the 'Mig-41' when there is actually one flying aircraft. Because to date? There's nothing. It's literally the T-14 Armata of airplanes you sad little muzhik.

As always, you have no response.

Where is Armata? Seems to be entirely missing from any actual theater of combat. What a joke.

You don't have to make excuses.

You've already waited for the Zircons, Calibers, Poseidons, ...., etc. Or are you still waiting?:roflol::roflol::roflol:

It's just not necessary. Or do you think Putin cares about your opinion and your expectations? :roflol::roflol::roflol:
As the CIA and Pentagon have stated, the Russians are only using 10% of their military capabilities.
But I wonder how much military capability the U.S. is using to fight the Houthis? The U.S. has even sent an aircraft carrier to the region. (By the way, in the war against the Houthis other NATO members are trying to fight. But they are not doing a very good job.:roflol::roflol::roflol:)

We both know that everything Made in Russia is faster, bigger, better and more progressive - Russian watches are the fastest in the world, Russian midgets are the biggest in the world and Russian syphilis is the most progressive in the world.
From Feb 2022 we see every day of the 'Special military operation' as big Russian victory - so many victories! There are reports of Russian soldiers who with a happy smile attack fascist Ukrainians and whose last words are 'za Rodinu, za Putinu'.
But some people in Russia hate Russia so much that from desperation commit suicide:

Russia can't make a decent 5th generation fighter so it most certainly cannot make a 6th generation one. Heck, Russia can't even build a decent modern tank. They are so short on trucks and infantry fighting vehicles their soldiers have to use crappy Chinese golf carts.

    Pathetic.

I do get tired of the old lie that "Russia isn't using its full strength!". B.S. going on three years into total war and approaching 600,000 dead or wounded orcs yet they are supposedly "not using their full strength"? Russia has literally thrown everything they have into this and hardly captured anything at all because their army sucks and isn't fit for purpose. It's planes won't fly, it's pilots lack hours, the tanks they have left are 70 year old rust buckets, there are so few military trucks Russia has had to resort to using Scooby Doo Vans and Chinese golf carts.

They don't even bother to train or properly equipped the conscripts because they all die or surrender a day or two later anyway. Worse, their entire officer Corp is both corrupt and incompetent.

Actually it sounds like the desperate pleadings of the (fading) Mikoyan design bureau for relevancy and funding. The Mig-29 isn't in active production since the only current demand is from the Russian navy (where it equips the Admiral Kuetnetsov :roflol:) and the Indian navy for its two carriers while the Mig-35 has been a bust with only 6 test beds/demonstrators built but no orders. Meanwhile Sukhoi as a full order book.

So if we combine these with all the Su-57s we still don't have a full squadron of aircraft? Too funny.

I look forward to breathless articles on Russia's new 7th generation aircraft some time next year. :D

My understanding is the Indian Navy is using old 1950's era British aircraft carriers. Basically floating museum pieces. At least the Indians do field something though so even if not modern or up to date they do at least have a viable navy. Even if it is short ranged.

It is certainly better than the not even floating junk the Russians call their only aircraft carrier.

Russian arms exports have collapsed. Not just because Russia can't supply any arms any more (which it can't) and most of its newish offerings are vaporware which Russia absolutely lacks the funds to actually bring into aerial production. Even worse most of their traditional buyers have abandoned Russia. Even India has switched to western or domestic producers. No one wants Russia's junk unless absolutely no one else will sell them anything.

The bottom line is most Russian junk doesn't work or at least can't do what the Russians claimed it could do. For decades simply lied and made wild claims about what it's junk could supposedly do only to have buyers find out it couldn't do any of it.

You are a bit out of date. India decommissioned those two ships in 1997 & 2017 - the latter was the former HMS Hermes, which fought in the Falklands.

India currently has two carriers. One is a Russian carrier launched in 1987 & purchased by India a bit over a decade ago. It has had a....difficult....service history, but gave India a larger, more modern carrier. The second is built in India, I suspect based on Russian designs & definitely using some Russian gear (which unsurprisingly has caused issues). Having flown MiG-29s off the older carrier they have decided to buy Rafaeles for the new one - another vote for Russian kit.

Even with the crappy old Russian carrier still limping along India has a more credible carrier arm than Russia.

:D....except for their Superjet....some sort of irony there with the name.....didn't sell too well.........which is a bit emblematic of how their overseas arms sales will fair now everyone knows their kit is actually all gunge

No, they purchased a conventionally powered carrier from Russians (a modified Kiev class) plus they also have one new, locally designed and built conventional carrier. As far as I am aware they are both equipped with M-29s but there was/is talk (I think) of purchasing some western jets to replace/complement the Migs.

The problem for Russia is that 5th gen fighters have a horrendously expensive R&D budget and looong lead time. The US is probably the only country in the world that could afford to fund the development of the F-22 by itself and even it drastically cut back on order numbers over the course of the project due to it's sheer expense (bit like they did with the Seawolfs). The F-35 on the other hand was always planned with an eye on trusted allies who would add to the order book once the US confirmed the project was going to meet expectations. They also sweetened the pot by distributing component construction those allies as well. The result was it only had to absorb the cost of the initial production runs. Once it had proven itself the orders flooded in and the per unit cost went down for everyone. Though even then it's still hellishly expensive.

Russia? Can't do that. They don't have the USs tech base or it's huge aerospace industry, they don't the allies who could do any of the work even if they were willing to share it out or the pockets deep enough to fund the entire development program on their own in anything like a realistic time frame. On it's own? By the time the SU-57 is up and running the West will have moved on to 6th gen aircraft!

The only two nations that could have made it a reality by buying into the project early are India and Russia. The Indians? Weren't impressed by the work done so far plus size of the cheque they ere going to have to right on spec would by a lot of western avionics. China? Would probably sign in but then the Russians may as well just hand them the blueprints and watch them steal what they wanted.

Who said they were a myth? Hard/expensive to produce in large numbers? Yes. Reasonably effective when available? Yes. Singlehandedly winning the war in Ukraine for Russia? No.

No one useful trusts Russia enough to sign up for a project like that. India has already had a wake up call about Russian weapons & is moving on. China doesn't need to do a joint venture. Just wait until Putin comes crawling to them....again....and make that part of the price tag. As you say, even if they did they would just steal the lot & give stuff all back.

The realms in which Russia can compete with the West on high tech weapons. There are some, but increasing development costs combined with Russia spending all its money on a pointless war makes it difficult to compete across the board.

This post has serious butthurt issues. Is that because Vladdie, the midget, needs a feel good story? Did he find any sub survivors to put up in daschas?

I believe he might have but I couldn't see any sign yet of planes on the ground (or in this case deck). So I think they're still to be delivered.
