Bakhmut is of no military significance whatsoever. Ukrainians have just used it to bleed and blunt the Russian offensive.

The culminating point marks the time when the attacking force can no longer continue its advance, because of supply problems, the opposing force, or the need for rest. Russians will run out of ammunition before long, and then be reduced to throwing rocks. Not very effective against Ukraine's new tanks in the spring offensive.

Ahhhhhhhm the German Leos 2A6 and those of its partners are already in the Ukraine, training of the crews will finish in a couple of weeks in Germany.
By the way 2000 tanks that would be twice the amount Ukraine has ever had.

 

Last I heard the first of the Leo 2 tanks are already in Poland where Ukrainian tankers are training on them. It was 17 leo 2A6 and 40 Leo 2A4. Germany is negotiating to buy 240 Leo 2A4s from Switzerland.

1 Battalion 2A6, with 12 2A5 from Sweden included, 1 Battalion of 2A4 from Poland and its partners half a Battalion Challenger 2 from the UK, over 100 Infantry fighting vehicles, Bradley, Marder and AMX nad so on. All Ukraine has to throw in is 1 1/2 battalion of tanks and you have a full Armored division. That is some serious fighting power. The Ukraine had close to a armored division in its Kharkiv offense. You remember what they accomplished with T72 and soviet IFV?

As usual your information is not cutting it, Germany has send 18 2A6 to the Ukraine, plus 3 Bergepanzer. Sweden is at present delivering its 12 2A5 and the 2A6 from Portugal are on the way, including the 2A6 from Norway, you have a tank heavy battalion of 2A6 and 2A5.
A battalion is 31 tanks. Since the Ukraine soldiers 2A6 and 2A5 are trained in Germany, with the Marder crews and Ukraine troops, Panzergrenadiere, they already get trained together in combined operations. Most of those guy have already combat experience, the tankers were in the Bakhmut area, well seasoned soldiers..
I think you have never been in the military, but the amount of firepower a armored division present is just overwhelming, massive. Considering the equipment of those NATO tanks and IFV, throw in the NATO 155mm, the MARS and HIMARS, those are the most powerful units the war has seen. They will be a handful for the Russian troops.

 

At least 1 of those "most powerful units" 2A6 Leopards has already been grabbed intact by Russia. Seems those badass tanks can't retreat so well on dirt (mud) farm roads.
