We aren't taking about whether there was a riot, or at least I wasn't -- there was a riot. We are talking about Giuliani's meaning and intent, or at least I was. Lawyers fight in the judicial arena. Courtroom trials take the place of actual physical combat. Lawyers are by definition not partial to physical fights. Otherwise they wouldn't be lawyers. Giuliani is a lawyer. His immediate and expected condemnation of the riot makes his state of mind clear. He was horrified by it.

With all that, if you still believe he wanted physical combat, well, people believe all sorts of things.

 

Oh sure, sure. Lawyers fight in a judicial arena. Totally agree. Lawyers however do not do "trials by combat" in the judicial arena. So that's where you're going wrong. And a guy like Giuliani is very aware that he did not have his speech in a judicial arena in front of the folks you would expect to understand his lingo. He knew he stood for an angry crowed who got spoon-fed that the elections were rigged for months on end. And you causally go wrong there as well.

And he is a lawyer, who indeed who go straight for inserting to claim he is innocent. That's his job.

1. This guy claimed that the murder rate is same for white on white as black on black and then chided society in general for not being as focused on white on white murder and black on black.
2. Black on black murder is actually 5 times higher on a proportional basis than white on white.

4. Who do you see as inadequately concerned about black murder victims?

 

Yeah... somewhere at the start one, and than Trump changed his story with "I'd fight. So I'd fight, they'd fight, I'd fight, they'd fight. Pop pop." He certainly meant using fists with that pop pop and not words. He said fight like 20 times. While his supporters were chanting back to "Take the Capitol," "Taking the Capitol right now," "Invade the Capitol," "Storm the Capitol" and "Fight for Trump" And at the end Trump yelled back "And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."

And off they went with a clear message.
