Piss poor example wasn’t it… gay bars… straight people can go into gay bars. The safe spaces being made for POC exclude people from participating period. No option of going. Does he honestly think gay bars are an example of segregation

I've discovered this in other threads, but the left does support that kind of discrimination, as this poster is demonstrating.

Well if you want to reduce racism, vote for the other party that doesn't keep blacks on the plantation with race baiting, revisionist history and handouts.

I don't hear anyone on the left condemning it, other than you.

You mean the thread itself, or what it relates to?

I think that Torus means what your thread relates to, rather than the thread itself.

People have a natural tendency to be around their own kind. It is human nature. Segregation, whether it is good or bad, is indeed natural. We welcome "diversity" and need to pay the price for it. We were doing pretty well overcoming racism for a few decades but we have fallen back into it again. Sad but natural.

The only reason we fell back into it is because people are pushing us away from looking at each other as individuals and are encouraged to look at everyone as groups, as sides, as collective look alikes.

You have defined racism well. I think the cause for the resurgence in racism has been reverse racism against the majority. Apparently some people think two wrongs make a right.

Sure we do. Familiarity, cooperation, and focus off of race reduces racism. Emphasize what we have in common, and note that race is a stupid superficial thing to care about. A common foe also helps.

Demanding that race is important and that we all must pay attention to it and that we should treat people differently based on it... creates more racism... obviously.... but apparently not so obvious to many so-called "anti-racists".

Yes, exactly this. How could they not see that demands for race politics put into everything would increase racial tension and prejudice in all directions?

We were doing very well in the 60s to the 80s, making huge progress against racism. That was the era of hands of different colours holding together, etc. There was no mention of "whiteness is evil" in it. It was all "let our kids play together because racism is stupid".

In Minnesota where George Floyd lived, blacks make up 10% of the population but account for 75% of the known murderers. Police action is distributed on the basis of crime, not skin color.

Blacks on average are taller, have longer legs and arms, higher muscle mass and greater lung and heart capacity, all giving greater athletic ability.

Russia's economic system more closely resembles Nazi Facism.
