Interesting. I think the kid might be a little young to know exactly what his orientation is, but chances are he has an inkling already.
This is a story of a woman whose 7 year old boy told her he was gay, after she had suspicions about his sexuality due to his 'crush' on a male charactor in the TV show, Glee:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/Amelia/when-your-7-year-old-son-announces-im-gay_b_1277910.html?ref=gay-voices&ncid=edlinkusaolp00000008

Not sure what I think about this. Most people know they are gay from a very young age, so I reckon the kid knows his sexuality, but at the same time, he does sound awfully young to have come to such a conclusion.

That's funny, why is the kid watching Glee in the first place? Of course he's gonna turn into one of those people with parents that are pushing it down his throat.

It would not be the least bit surprising if this kid has picked up on the pervasive perception that homosexuals are special by virtue of their victim status, and senses that by playing along he will be showered with his mother's self-serving "love".

If I have a kid the only things he will be able to watch are Rambo movies and Clint Eastwood flicks. We can save the Will and Grace episodes for future liberal voters.

I don't know why he is watching Glee either. Not very appropriate for a seven year old. Plus, its a crap show.

I have a cousin who everyone knew was gay from about 4 years old. There was no doubt about it.

He didn't know he was gay at that age but he most certainly was.

Crazy talk. At that age you still have time to beat the gay out of em.

Wouldn't have mattered. The dude was as gay as they come from the start. Nothing was going to change that.

I do like that you would beat a child if they were gay. Those are some great morals and parenting techniques.

I knew I was straight when I was 7. Why is it weird for a kid to know he's gay when he's 7?

Ahh that was just a joke. I have no opinion on homosexuals and they should be allowed to do whatever they want.

However letting a kid watch glee is just silly.

    Also a bit off topic:

Why do so many gay guys act like women? If they act like women with the funny walk, broken wrists, and feminine talk, and are gay, wouldn't that make them a lesbian?

I got ya. It is just a tv show so who cares if a kid watches it?

I think it is awesome that gays act feminine. It is what makes them interesting.

So if someone has a sex change and they get sent to prison do they go to their original gender prison or their new gender prison?

I'm pretty sure they go to a prison of their original gender.

So what do gay men and ambulances have in common?

Naw I better not...have to make a new thread to go down that road.

Rambo? The muscular guy who's always running around with no shirt? Yeah, THAT won't turn your kid gay.

I'd recommend James Bond instead, or at least Michael Bay's sexist explode-o-ramas. I'd suggest Risky Business, but you'd have to edit out the scene of Tom Cruise in his underwear.

Something about people entering through the rear all the time?

When I was 7 I hated all girls because they had cutties, does that make me gay?

That is so stupid to say. :(

You want to abuse a child, rather than take the proper approach to helping him grow.

Your kind of mindset adds to the problems of this world. :(

I think it's too early to tell. My grandson at age 3 loved fairy tales and especially the ones about princesses. He wanted to act out the stories and he always wanted to be the princess. You could tell my daughter and her husband were taken aback by it but I told them it was because the princesses had the exciting parts - Cinderella and the glass slipper and Snow White and the apple - while the princes just rode in and out. When he was 4, he discovered pirates and all the dress-up that went with it, when he was 5 he discovered super heroes and villains and now at 5 1/2, he's in kindergarten and told his mom the other day that one of the little girls gave him a valentine she had made for him and that when she did, he "fell in love with her".

Children will be children and those with big imaginations use them. Leaving them alone and not making them feel they're doing something wrong is the best bet IMO.

A little boy that my children used to play with at that age was, too, and it was obvious. As you say, he didn't know it but everybody else was almost certain. And he was.

Your satire detector is broken. Along with your 'correct political ideology' detector, and your wisdom detector.

Remember: Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

I've known a few kids like that and they all were gay adults when it was said and done just like my cousin. Sometimes you're just a gay person by chance.

That makes you misogynist. But don't worry, you were born that way.

Children say lots of things they don't fully grasp the meaning of. Lots of little girls say they have boyfriends or unicorns or whatever. Lots of lots of little boys say they have a girlfriend or superpowers or whatever.

It's the adults and media that would be appalling enough to exploit children in this political climate. :-(
