Ms Rice, a woman with no elective experience whatsoever, must realize that her claim to fame is as midwife to Cheney's and Rummy's repulsive offspring, the fraudulently-pretexted, multi-billion dollar nation-building fiasco in Iraq. She was complicit in the monumental foreign policy disaster by her "mushroom cloud" fear mongering, something she can never disavow. The bloody mayhem and instability sparked by the ill-conceived invasion endures, and would be disinterred along with her by journalists were she to seek the spotlight.

She's much too smart for that.

Whether capable of better, she tied her fate to the Bush and shares the consequences.

Of course Libya was not armed to begin with so disarmament was a somewhat dubious accomplishment.

 

They had a nuclear weapons program, and a chemical weapons program.

 

The operative term here is program. No weapons, so if I understand the English language they were not armed so could not possibly be disarmed.

 

Yes they had chemical weapons that they dismantled and a nuclear program abandoned. Now why do you think it sends the right message to Iran if we invade them right after they disarm and abandon?

I'd call that hyper-partisan bs, up until the last paragraph. I think your spot on with that. The only issue is that Clinton voted for the War in Iraq, and that hasn't caused her much trouble. It's likely just a matter of pr - Republicans won't attack Democrats on that, but Democrats - even with a Senator who supported the war - will likely attack a Republican candidate for doing the same.

 

I predict that Hillary will not end up being the nominee. The Senate report while it didn't specifically blame her did blame the State Department of which she was in charge and no half way decent political campaign manager is EVER going to let that out of the spotlight. I can easily see someone like a Bill Richardson sneaking up behind her and running past the finishing line first for the Democratic nomination.

 

Kinda have to see a video of the whole speech before I'd make a half-formed and second-hand opinion(that's like 1/4 of an opinion!) About anything that was said.

I'll be honest: if she gets the nomination, I'll call her the first actual African-American to run for President. Obama was an outlier, one who grew up in a well-to-do white household, whose ancestors didn't live through American slavery or Jim Crow.
