Ah, so it was another fake Nazi comparison. I get it now. So you are comparing free speech competing with your free speech to Nazis. Remind me how the Nazis treated gay people again.

It ain't cancel culture that is affecting bud lite. It's a boycott of a brand. Totally different than going after individuals.

No, the left wants people put out of business. They want their lives destroyed. That's the difference and it's huge.

People are simply boycotting bud light, not trying to shut them down and prevent them from doing business.

Look at the trans rights organization going after Bud light.

Things like showing up at their houses with bull horns and trying to pressure their employers and doxing where their children go to school

Funny how I see the right celebrating Budweiser's business suffering. And you don't have the right to customer. The left wants people out of business? I thought boycotts were okay.

How is that Nazi-like? Was it Nazi-like for transphobes to go after Bud Light? Sounds like you are fine with your side does it, but if the other side does the exact same thing, they are suddenly Nazis.

Protesting is free speech. Nazis did more than just engage in free speech against their enemies, or so my grandfather told me when recounting is days in the camps . . . you know, the same sorts of camps the Nazis put gay people in.

Here you are confusing actual cancel culture with a boycott again.

The difference has been explained to you so if you continue to pretend not to understand the difference, it means that you're only pretending not to understand the difference.

People are simply not buying Bud light. They're not doxing the home addresses of the CEOs and doxing where their children go to school and showing up in front of their homes in the middle of the night with bull horns.

See the difference? No one "went after Bud light" they simply stopped buying the water down beer

They went after Bud Light in the same ways. Boycotting and protesting. When righties show up to drag shows with bull horns to protest, does that make them Nazis?

Not true. People did go after bud light by boycotting it. Not sure how you missed that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

According to you that's free speech.

Also according to you showing up that those same drag queens houses in the middle of the night with bull horns and then trying to pressure their employers to fire them and doxing where their children go to school is also free speech

Maybe I should've been clearer. The left wants to force people to be shut down and not allowed to conduct their business.

Maybe that clears up the difference.

Nobody went to the bud light factory and posted the administrator's home addresses.

It sure as hell is worlds apart from what the Nazis did. But, again, maybe I shouldn't have taken my grandfather's word about how the Nazis treated him in his prison camp.

There are tons of examples of anti-trans doxing.

With regards to Bud Light, we had a forum member comparing trans activists to Nazis for engaging in the exact same behavior as anti-trans people. I'm not sure what you aren't understanding.

I assumed that the Bud Light ads were targeting misogynist beer drinkers who would enjoy watching a cross dresser mock and denigrate women.

There may be more to it than that.

“Model Bri Teresi, who went viral after shooting cans of Bud Light, tampons and lingerie in a video, said the beer company is trying to target children through its promotional partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer and activist.”

"So with the Dylan Mulvaney thing, with him being put on a Bud Light can or whatever, that was literally because his target audience is children," she said. "So they're trying to get that next generation of beer drinkers to think, like, Oh, this is OK."
“Her comments follow weeks of criticism and calls to boycott Bud Light because of its partnership with Mulvaney, who uses she/her pronouns, in a social media promotion.”

I suspect it will be the last woke ad for a long time, which is the entire point of the protest. Nobody thinks that Anheuser Busch is going to go bankrupt.

IMO, if there is a controversial issue, companies would be well advised to stay away altogether, ESPECIALLY when your position on that controversial issue is so clearly the opposite of the feelings of the bulk of your customers. This one was particularly tone-deaf.

For someone not threatened by him, the OP sure does love to make threads about either Bud Light or trans people.

Not saying he actually is threatened, but he does spend way more time making threads on this subject, like its living rent free in his head.

If you cant beat 'em, join 'em!

When it was only the left doing the canceling over the last few decades, companies knew better than to anger the left on any issue, but behaved as if the right's anger did not matter.

A shot has now went across the bow, and hopefully companies trying to sell to the masses will rightfully keep their noses out of controversial issues or face the wrath from either side.

I don't think bud light is concerned about the snowflakes that are upset about the rainbow on their cans.
