Well... More jobs for competent materials engineers. You shouldn't persue that degree unless you want to be a materials engineer.

But if you do... You'll have a job before you graduate and upper 6 figures before you are 30. You have to bust your ass though.

Exactly. And of course you have to bust your ass. Almost all STEM requires that of us.

yeah that's what the uninformed incorrectly assume which demonstrates a prejudiced elitist opinion...probably the most diverse single career choice globally, movies, video games, animation, print media, clothing, furniture, web design, app interface design, jewelry, automotive design, home/commercial architecture, interior design, advertising, branding, it's endless and it's all around you, your entire world is shaped by art graduates, nearly everything we buy is shaped by an art graduate ...of my kids fellow graduates with art degrees they only know of only two who are between jobs and one is part time...

but you still don't need an art degree to do most of this.

My point was that you don't need an art degree.

I didn't say you couldn't get a job with an art degree, I just said nobody needs one.

Not likely. There's a surplus of art students. There is a deficit of engineers.

this coming from someone with no experience in art who posted this

-"I'll take back my statement. An art degree is useful in several careers. If you plan to be an art appraiser if you plan to be an art teacher or instructor, or if you plan on working in an art museum. Perhaps as an art expert in other fields. "

"several careers" lol! you had no clue that there are thousands of careers that require an art background

go apply for a career as a designer with ford gm, tesla without your art degree and let me know if you get a reply.

For both of my fine art degree daughters a degree was a requirement for job application, companies actively recruit from pre grad uni art students...

Are you sure I have no experience in art?

    Don't believe you

Automotive engineers can be hired in the design department. But that is a very competitive job.

Well good, I wish them the absolute best.
