It's amazing the things we remember, isn't it? Your GM was right to be scared of that thing... I've got one, too and I mainly use it boil pasta... without the pressure part!

I just remember taking my mom to farmer's market to find green tomatoes. And dad remembers taking her to Parker County every year for peaches. We sure don't eat as good since she left us. But at least we remember how it was... not everybody can say that! :)

The river pictures are the Big Bend they were taken on a rafting trip except the overview. I think one of the river pictures is the Santa Elena canyon. The cotton picture was taken just a bit north of Childress, Texas. I took the picture because I have never seen cotton grow that thick and they picked it clean. It was amazing. The other picture was taken in Palo Dura Canyon. The cactus flower was also Big Bend on the way to Ernst Tinaja.

Chlldress is about 200 mi NE of Gaines County.

Love Big Bend..I bet 80% of native Texans have never made it there..like I said B4, sorta like native AZ'ns and the Grand Canyon. Beauty right in your backyard..but maybe too tourista to actually go there?!

How come no action pics of the rafting? My family & I swam there in the RG..are the turkey vultures still abundant in BB?

I have a ton of pictures of the rafting...that was fun. I don't remember the turkey buzzards as being that memorable. The thing most memorable was the huge tarantula, in the Chisos Basin, he was gorgeous and I have his picture somewhere. He was huge..

All the taratulas I saw in W. TX were black. But toward Mex they are brown...

The really big ones eat mice. Used to have to dodge them regularly when driving down the oil patch dirt roads..they werent scared of humans!

BTW, back to cotton--I once picked a beautiful fluffy cottton boll the siize of the palm of my hand and sent it to my mother in Dallas...she was amazed!

Gooooood morning. We are not in Kansas anymore.
Listened to these guys a lot, not so much lately. It all depends on the mood. Soothing classical music is called for mostly.

And to make matters worse, now the house smells all charred and stuff! grrrrrrrrr

...no vino involved.................. until now! lol

    Depends on your mood.

Close your eyes, let the music carry you.

    LOL Excellent selection Shang!

I had first linked that one for him, along with Beethoven's 9th, but had second thoughts. ;)
