I totally understand where you're coming from. I adopted this mantra shortly after the election... why fight it? Gimme my check. I did all I could to try to stop it. Let future generations worry about it. Not my problem anymore.

Maugham was after all French.His Father managed to have his birth done at the
English embassy in Paris to avoid any complications as to conscription.
I don't see any positive to 2013.
None ... whatsoever.I have never felt this depleted before.

Okay, I realize this is quiet the deviation from the usual "Bar" chatter, but thought I'd place it here in case some of you have encountered the issue.

If any of you are using Fire Fox as your browser, and are experiencing stalls or hang ups, particularly after leaving your PC idle for a while (could be as short a period as five minutes), and receive an "Unresponsive Script" warning, I have found a solution.

I am not absolutely sure what the conflict is, however, I strongly suspect it is related in some way to Google. Either with the tool bar, Google search or Gmail. I do know, that Google is constantly implementing new scripts and/or methods of "assisting it's users", lol, aka - tracking our every move.

Anyway, not to get sidetracked on my disdain of Google... if any of you are getting the warning dialog and are ready to take a hammer to your PC out of frustration from the stalling, PM me, and I will share with you the solution I have found.

I'll not go into detail here, but it's a simple fix, and I will gladly walk you through it.

** I applied it yesterday, and it seems to have completely eliminated the issue for me. No ill side effects whatsoever... unless you consider a smooth and seemingly faster browsing experience as a negative thing.* lol

I'm off until 7/1/13 but the others went back today. I only just got up...consumed too much of everything creamy and fatty and chocolatey yesterday and it did not agree. As we speak, there's a box of Milk Tray and some Pringles looking at me and I'm afraid.

I am thinking to get into a cleaning frenzy, the girls will be in my house tomorrow before we go out and in daylight there are presents and Christmas debris everywhere, but...pitifully lazy as you say.

Hold it. The fiscal cliff is upon us, but no one is going over it here. We have to wait and see how it goes. I read an article stating US economy can never go belly up, because of the ability to just keep printing money. That normally might cause inflation or a plethora of dangers, but the assertion was the dollar will hold because there is so much demand for it, from everyone using the dollar to transact business and they will continue to buy it for that purpose. On the other side, the Chinese Renminbi might be picking up some of the business activity. I think they deliberately devalued that currency in order to attract business, but that would be a false impression and things can change.

Either way, if US economy goes pear shaped it is only time to fight.

It may change the world in unexpected ways anyway. For example, Righties who wish US to build a wall and are anti immigration, should be careful what they wish for. Immigration follows the money. An unexpected side effect of dire economic issues may be that you may get your wish.. Then have to rebuild your economy for yourself...

 

You saying google is suffering from ADD? There must be a pill for that.

I read the thread briefly. Seems a bit confusing/conflicting. It doesn't seem that I am experiencing the issue, but obviously some are.

No quick solution/answer, but I will have time tonight to have a better look. Certainly, if I can find an answer I will share.

Good afternoon to everyone. How is everyone today..??

 

I like google too but the hang ups are a problem.. I have to do a lot CAD but that only works for a bit and then the script thingamabob..is a pain. My computer has never been the same since it encountered some kind of meaness. I use Mcafee and it didn't stop the infection.. Anyone that gets their jollies from putting malacious script, virus, trojans or whatever needs to be__________________!!!! Ya'll can fill in the blanks... I couldn't bring myself to say what I would do to them...
