Morning, Shang... stores are full of Halloween stuff... winter can't be far behind. Falena the snow bunny will be happy. Have you noticed how grouchy she gets when it's hot? ;)

Snow is fine...on ski slopes and such. Not on the road.
Think about it. You go shopping, its warm and balmy and you wear T-shirt and shorts and flip flops. OTOH, its snowy and cold and you got yer boots and long johns and sweater and scarf and mittens and a coat and a snow shovel and cat litter and all that good stuff. Hot chocolate, yep, that's a must, or some of Foolie's wine.
All in all, traveling light is more my style.

    What song describes you?

    http://en.what-character-are-you.com/m/en/269/index/1519.html

    Your song is

    "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey

Faith is strong! You know that and that is why you stick to your goals, dreams and ideals - no matter what. And if you should ever doubt yourself sometimes: just "Don't Stop Believin"

(yeah, right... how long do I have to wait?)

What part? I go to Grand Junction on occasion, but spent my senior year in HS and college years in the Denver area and Greeley.

Nice area, although it's been years since I lived in Colorado Springs. I spent 3rd grade through 5th grade there when my dad was stationed at Ft. Carson with one year in the Southeast Asian games.

I'm stuck in a California traffic jam. A man next to me is also using his phone to text. He's driving a rubber ducky-blue electric Kia soul. His hair is in a pompadour. He's wearing a gray suit and sunglasses. He's white.

The guy at the head of the traffic jam was probably texting too. Lost his carrier... waiting til he gets back online before he moves his apple-green Scion.

    Crank it up...

Sometimes I feel bad texting while driving but it's hard to hurt anyone when you're moving 3 miles per hour.

True, that. I getta kick outta watching people around the pool... splash around, dunk each other, swim to the deep end and back... then get out and each grabs their phone, checking for messages. Sometimes I wonder if couples are texting each other?

I've been guilty of texting and driving, but avoid it or stop. The voice-to-text function works pretty good but is still a distraction. I can see why some states are mandating hands-free cell phone use.

The worst is trying to get the GPS to bail you out once you're lost. Happened to me returning the rent car yesterday. I took what I thought was the right exit off the freeway, then started driving thru a residential area I didn't remember from before. So I turned around, pulled into a parking lot and tried to find my way using GPS. Giving up on that... I tried calling the 1-800 # for the car company. All he could give me was the address... so ended up walking into a convenience store and getting directions from a bored store clerk who barely looked up from her iPhone long enough to tell me to stay on the road thru the residential area and I'd see signs.

Bet she gets asked for directions 100 times a day.

    Bless her heart.

Yeah, but wearing a sweater over my tan is just weird! Bet it'll be back in the 90s by the time the Fair starts. Crazy weather.

On the bright side, being young at heart is a good thing. It's being young in the brain (immature) that's problematic.
