love it that the reporter asked Trump, didn't you just vote by mail... Trump was busted

Trump says his home is not the white house..... that is why he had to vote by mail

So let’s say I go to the cemetery and copy down the names of all the people who died that year and finding their address through publicly available information such as obituaries. What stops me from mailing in votes on their behalf for the candidate of my choice?

And yet this supposed "challenge" is only a factor when it comes time to vote in elections. Something that is annual is taxes and the changing of seasons, yet those who lack identification apparently do not know the election cycle keeps coming back around unless they are told, and thus apparently do not have the sense to work towards obtaining identification during the rest of the year when there is no rush to have it done.

If one cannot obtain identification within a four year period, such is ultimately their own fault for simply not bothering to try.

You can always vote provisional and then straighten it out with the clerk of court. It is YOUR responsibility as a citizen the Constitution does require you be coddled.

Let the violins begin. When I was first getting a passport I had to go to the hospital to get a copyof my BC as I could not find mine. I think it cost $3. I also had to go to the local SS office because when I registered as a teen I filled out the form with a "y" on the end of my name as I was called back then and it did not match my "legal" name. Was I suppressed? It's called life and taking responsibility for yours.

A photo ID should suffice why are you so opposed to having a photo on it? I hand you a SS card, how do you know it's for me?

that is a mail in ballot... same think just moments before he was harping on

republicans are defending mail in ballots now as they know, mostly conservatives use this method of voting...

let's be honest, republicans just wanted to kill democrats is why they forced them to vote in the last primary

How will you receive all those mail in ballots? You still need to prove who you are, at least in my state. One doesn't waltz in and get handed a mail in ballot.

And if some how you were able to obtain all those mail in votes, the threat of you going to jail should deter you. Because you will get caught.

This is how you get an absentee ballot. No ID necessary. Just a name and address.

    https://www.vote.org/absentee-ballot/

And if I drop those ballots into those blue mailing boxes in random areas with no cameras how do you expect I’m going to get caught?

I suggest you try it and use it as you suggested.
I bet you don't get more than 1.

    Let us know the results.

I bet those ballots received like you think you will get, won't get counted.
    Each state issues ballots.

Do you? If it's so easy, then why so many people don't have government issued photo ID? If you can't produce documents, then you can't vote.

"Across the country, about 11 percent of Americans do not have government-issued photo identification cards, such as a driver’s license or a passport, according to Wendy Weiser of the Democracy Program at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law."

If republicans lose elections so easily, perhaps that explains why they have to cook the vote. Is it responsibility, or is it making citizenship something that is provable only through documents through a nation?

Would you go through that process every election. or would a reasonable person want to go through that process every election?

Right but if the state doesn’t purge their voter rolls of dead people then they don’t know the ballot isn’t valid.

And if you folks don’t want ID used to vote, I assume you’re against requiring some sort of ID for absentee ballots, right?

In my very 1st post on mail in votes. I stated, my State requires a photo ID, DL works, in order to receive a mail in ballot. I even had to show it to vote in primary. My ID that is.
Each State has their own rules regarding ID. If you don't like how you state does it, change it.

Again, you will not get all those mail in ballots, nor will you get them counted. Unless you live in a State with no checks at all.

So then you’re okay with ID being required to vote in person? If not, what’s the difference?

They are not just mailed out at random, they must be specially requested and they are specifically tracked.

I know, I’m applying Rawls to this discussion. What if you had to go through your steps, would you want that?

They cook the vote by asking citizens to be responsible to avoid cheating? That's cooking the vote? Hell....you have to have picture ID to get into the Democrat Convention....is that like to keep unlike minded people out? Is that "cooking the convention?" I think old Bernie got cooked!

If something is precious, like our right to vote, it should take a little effort to keep it secure. I will go to the voting poll every election. Feel it's my honorable duty.

When you consider the information that is collected today there’s no legitimate reason why voting can’t be brought into the twenty first century.

We have the cash, data, and expertise. Get it done.

The notion of infringing upon the rights of citizens is the only possible way to maintain/acquire power should give everyone pause.

Now again, just who does Trump and the Republican Party actually represent?

We are for measures that minimize fraud.
They are for measures that maximize fraud.

If you can go to the store with masks and gloves to pick up toilet paper, you can go to a polling station and vote.

You don't have a right to vote. And why does it need to be "secured" along the lines of the nation?
