They weighed on on a topic or subject that never should have gone to the supreme court.

What will likely happen now as some states try to ban abortion is that the politicians who run on a platform of abortion rights will get voted in.

    Or they won't.

It will be left up to the voter.

    Chill. Out.

when biden was younger, he voted his catholic religions way, for decades the evangelicals who switched from an early no opinion on abortion to anti-abortion in an effort to gain power have had the goal of exactly what has happened...several trump supporting women i know are having second thoughts, so we shall see what the effect of this will be, we shall see

Because it was a power grab in the first place. That's dangerous and unconstitutional. But I do acknowledge your point that RvW gave the choice to the individual. What if they ruled that murdering your own family member was a right as long as it was conceived within ones own person, to be carried out or not according to ones own choice? We could all thin out our families of undesirables.

It was already up to the voter, each one, as an individual got to decide for themself

It was already up to the people, now it’s up to the state. Yay for less freedom!

If these RW "law and order"* types were correct, we'd have a very limited set of Constitutional rights, and a very limited amount of "freedom".

There are very few enumerated rights; what these nutballs would have you believe is that we American citizens do not have the right to travel, or privacy for example, because those basic individual rights are not specified in their imaginary Constitution, as interpreted.

Read the 9th Amendment and tell me that our rights are limited only to those specified in the Constitution and its amendments. And I really mean READ IT. Don't treat it like the Mueller Report, for example, and hold forth about it even though you have no earthly idea what it says. I prefer expansive rights, not the limited rights that the RW clowns claim we have, in spite of the evidence.

*You have the right to do what you're told.

He's claiming that "the states" will protect our "freedoms". Maybe buy him a history book.

Some states will protect our rights, some states will protect the rights of those who want to impose their views on others.

Oh, so now so-called unenumerated rights flowing from (in part) the Ninth Amendment shouldn't be addressed by the Supreme Court? WTF planet do you live on?

You really don't understand the Constitution, and prefer fewer rights.

So it’s baby murder but baby murder should be up to the voters? That’s some twisted logic.

Of course he did. Routinely. The Trumpers' selective amnesia is tedious.

You keep hearing "back alley abortions"? You should move to a better state where women have rights.

Some think it is baby murder while others do not. That is the point of letting the PEOPLE decide.

    Why do you hate democracy?
