Why would queers want the government to know who they are banging in the bedroom????

I thought the loony left-wing nuts motto was "get government out of our bedrooms?"

It is situations like that which are bringing folks who were otherwise a bit bigoted towards gays to reexamine their views. It is going to take more time, but I agree with the premise that anti-gay bias is softening.

To be honest, where it comes to family and the ethics within, illegitimate births is such a massively more destructive force upon society. The gay issue drains emotional political capital far more than it should. We have much bigger fish to fry than this. It is why more folks are leaning libertarian each day.

Well considering this makes not sense as to the topic of marriage I will have to decline to comment.

That isn't the governments fault. They did not make any law prohibiting the visitation. The Hospital is an independent business and can make their own rules. This is not something that the Government should be legislating but left up to the discretion of the business.

This is one of those so called rights not given to single people or Group marriages. So if you are going to legislate it for gays you need to legislate it for everybody.

When two people get married they have to get a marriage license from the state.

Now the state has information on the two people getting married.

So, therefore the state now knows who is banging who. Right?

I'll ask again...why would queers want the government to know who they are banging in the bedroom????

I thought the loony left-wing nuts motto was "get government out of our bedrooms?"

(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) Republicans are sooo ignorant of what it means to gather a valid statistical sample. It's not wonder the dumbasses tried to un-skew the election polls to the point that they thought they were going to win by a landslide...

Kind of like liberals and accountability.

One would think that a valid OP, and subsequent thread, would not be trolled by the one that begun it !

    One would think .....................

Statistical sampling doesn't take into account anomalies within a population. That's why it's not a relevant way to measure. You could perhaps get a general idea, but the results are never 100% accurate.

As such, my point stands. Account for everyone before claiming a majority opinion as fact.

Also: Prove the poll isn't being conducted in a biased manor.

    Damn I'm good.

Cut them a break. It must be kind of hard knowing that every regressive believe that you have is likely to politically die within the next 10 years or so.

Good at what? Expressing a deep ignorance concerning the basics of statistical analysis?

Good at highlighting errors in statistical sampling. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that it has flaws.

Again, statistical sampling doesn't take into account anomalies within a population. It is not an accurate system of measurement. Prove me wrong.

Also, prove me the poll isn't biased.

    I'll wait.

I never said it's the gov's fault.... all ICU's have their restrictions on who goes in and there have been cases where one of a gay partnership ended up in ICU and his partner wasn't allowed to see the person he had been w/for most of his adult life b/c they weren't 'legally' together.. A civil union can change that.......

Why? Both couples are still legally bound w/all rights & benefits working for them.. The only difference is one is called a 'civil union' and the other is called a 'marriage'.........

    Of course you will...

But just know that we're not laughing with you, we're laughing AT you.

    - - - Updated - - -

Then the simple solution is for the government to only recognize civil unions for EVERYBODY and leave marriages up to the churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, covens, or black altars.

Well, you're right about that... when you look at the liberal-run schools we have in this country......

A 7 yr old boy suspended for chewing his Pop-Tart into a 'scary looking gun'....... as an example........

If this poll is correct, then why do gay marriage ballot propositions in the majority of the states fail?

Or getting suspended for giving a classmate an asprin. Lets not forget how Liberals now tell parents what food they can give their kid to take to school or how big a soft drink you can buy. Next they will tell us how much red meat we can eat. What happen to our liberties?

It doesn't seem that you understand the concept at all!

The poll shows THE EVOLUTION of public opinion in the last 3 years. . .and most of the gay marriage ballots have been taken in "Bible belt" states, in the last 5 years. . .

In fact, are you unaware that 3 new States have authorized gay marriage just this last November? And that more and more states are following?

The California prop 8 was totally skewed by the huge amount of money (a lot of Utah money from the Mormon church) that was imported into California to defeat gay marriage. This will NOT happen again.

And I can't wait for the SCOTUS to begin on the two cases pending in the supreme court this month!
