    I guess they would also be called the tea party. To fundamentalists aka **********s, if its not in the constitution or its not specifically spelled out its illegal. It is impossible to interpret what the founding fathers would have wanted 200 years later. Part of the greatness of America is we progress with the times. A constitutional fundamentalists idea is that it should be interpreted as it was when it was written. Unfortunately in todays modern times to do so would be obsolete and unproductive. People claim that since SS or medicare isn't specifically written into constitution thats its illegal and the founding fathers would be rolling over in the graves.

    Bottom line is if your a fundamentalist then you are stuck way in the past and probably should not be in government.

    I don't think you know how hilarious this is. GOD FORBID that we should interpret the Constitution as it was written. You should be thanking God that you've been living in a country that had been doing just that.

    You are way to eager to give up your rights and freedoms. You've already given up your education and your sanity.

    The Constitution's exclusive use of male pronouns strongly implies women can't hold office. If Tea Party members really value the exact text of the Constitution, why do they like Sarah Palin so much?

    That is an excellent point. As it was written 200 years ago, women did not have the right to vote or hold office.

    Progress comes through private industry and men talking down new paths, armed with nothing but their own vision.

    It does not come through government bureaucracy or controls. They can't even pick up your trash efficiently, that's being privatized.

    Another example? Fedex. UPS.

    The Constitution protects progress.

    TRUE Tea Partiers (i.e. the libertarian, strict constructionists, the people who value liberty) think that Sarah Palin is a disgrace to capitalism and what it means.

    Also, the Founders allowed you to amend the Constitution. That was done and I support that Amendment.

    Federal law makes it illegal to deliver first class or third class mail for any less than $3 or three times the cost of a postage stamp, whichever is more.

    Totalitarian government control above all, right?

    But they're faster. Why else would they be used.

    Profits above all, right. Now you're getting it.

    Edit: Before this is taken out of context, profits that you earned legitimately and haven't extorted from anyone. UPS has not done so, but I don't know about Fedex.

    Exactly. However, the CFW (constitutional fundamentalist wackos) fail to see that.

    Quite so. The CFW really do live in their own (strange) little world.

    Reality. This country has become the greatest nation in the world due to it's small government culture.

    Your policies have been tried hundreds of times and they have all failed.

    So, you promote government theft of wealth and running large scale ponzi-schemes at gun point?

    While I am not quite ready to call you a fruitcake, I will observe that this is the sort of thing fruitcakes are inclined to post.
    How so?

    Profits are what drive innovation and efficient use of resources. Thank God for early America or you would still be a serf to Britian.

    "If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare,
    and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare,
    they may take the care of religion into their own hands;
    they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish
    and pay them out of their public treasury;
    they may take into their own hands the education of children,
    establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union;
    they may assume the provision of the poor;
    they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads;
    in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation
    down to the most minute object of police,
    would be thrown under the power of Congress.... Were the power
    of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for,
    it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature
    of the limited Government established by the people of America
    ."

    -----James Madison--Founder--Cosnervative--Hater of Liberals--Great American

    With but one paragraph.......the Father of the Consitution destroys the entire Democrat platform.....give him credit.

    Thank you for elaborating and making a legitimate reply to my post.

    She says that the foundation of capitalism rests on a book that says the first shall be last and the last shall be first, whose savior is a man who railed against the rich, and stated that if you're rich you'll basically never get to heaven. It is also the epitome of force.

    If asked why the rich should get tax breaks, she would be one of those to say "they supply the jobs", which is true. But that isn't why they should get tax breaks. It's because they have the inherent and inalienable right to pursue happiness and exist for themselves. Her statement essentially says property rights should only exist if it benefits the majority.

    She's knocked off the mirrors and taken a bat to a Corvette and attempted to sell it as a klunker.

    And her voice is annoying as hell.

    Tell me, have you not noticed that no matter how much government tries, the poor get poorer and the rich get richer? Your blessed God(government) is saying one thing and producing the opposite.

    Take your measly annual income and times it times 15.3%, then divide it by 12. Play with this savings calculator and you will see just how much wealth the government has stolen from you over a 50 year period. Better pray you do not die before 75, you will like have to wait until then to collect your poverty size check.

    The constitution is invalid at this point. We now have a progressive modern government capable of handling things.

    Montoya does not recognize the true intent of the Constitution, it does not fit his socialist agenda. I'm glad he is young enough to suffer the concequences of his idiology. He will likely blame his poverty on the government not inventing the holodeck.
