It provides for the general welfare of the union. They have every right. States rights are bunk.

Please elaborate. Bush did no such thing as far as I can tell. Anyone who believes that has no understanding of the Fourth Amendment.

    Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Email and phone calls are not covered. Also, Bush still had to get approvals from FISA courts for much of the surveillance.

My views are illegal? Seems your accusation violated the 1st amendment of freedom of speech and freedom of opinion. And I bet I support the constitution way more than a fundamentalist like you.

Depends on the road, and YES!

Look, I keep citing the Constitution, and the views of the Founders (people who created the Constitution) to prove my points. All Youz Guyz do is take sentence fragments out-of-context, and argue Marxism (but probably don’t even realize it).

this is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Your crazy ideas have no bearing on the constitution. And besides you are a birther.

Actually, you have a reading comprehension problem.

It says Congress can spend money on the general welfare of the US Government.

No Silly Goose! We have the Thirteenth Amendment.

Why do you preach lawlessness? Is that the only opportunity for you to get YOUR way?

Amend the Constitution if you can get the support you need. Otherwise your views are illegitimate, and you preach Treason against your own county. :omfg:

Then why can I cite Founders who argue the same things? Sorry if reality conflicts with delusion...

Anything that was done without the POWER to do so in the Constitution. Powers of Congress are usually found in Article 1, Section 8 or the Amendments. There is no power for the Democrats to enact their wealth distribution or social engineering schemes.

Congress has the power to levy taxes. And to provide for the general welfare. Just stop now ok?

You can talk all you want. If you act on ANY of it a case for Treason can be made. :omg:

    trea·son   /ˈtrizən/ Sho
    [tree-zuhn]
    –noun
    1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
    2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.
    3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

Article 1, Section 8 is one sentence. It states the government has certain powers, and also the power to tax to fund those other responsibilities. A complete sentence is a complete thought. The powers are enumerated, meaning if something is not on the list it was left out for a reason. Sorry you lose the argument unless you can cite an enumerated power that would allow wealth distribution or social engineering schemes.

If your are arguing a limited government is unlimited, and SOME should violate the law to make it unlimited you are preaching Treason, "the offense of acting to overthrow one's government." If you assist in making those views a reality (ah like voting for Democrats) you are COMMITTING Treason. :omg:

Why do I seem to agree with the Founders, and so many Leftists agree with Marx? :omfg:

Trying to give away "affordable mortgages" to high risk low income borrowers who tend to vote Democrat is BOTH a wealth distribution and a social engineering scheme. Gay Marriage is a social engineering scheme. Gays openly serving in the military is a social engineering scheme. Global Warming CLASS in school is a social engineering scheme that indoctrinates people for wealth distribution schemes. Cash for Clunkers type programs are wealth distribution schemes.

“From each, according to his ability; to each, according to his need”

    - Karl Marx 1875

Like that quote? It describes the entire Democrat party, and their wealth distribution schemes.

That is nonsense. Swamp has acknowledged that the Constitution can be changed. The change must take place through Congressional action via Amendment. He further notes that since lefties never have enough support to shove their Socialist agenda through in the legal manner, they resort to claiming that the SCOTUS can "interpret" Socialism into the Constitution, and - as such - we have a bastardization of the General Welfare and Commerce clauses.

We have weasels who claim the Constitution is a "living" document in this way.

What we don't have is a Constitutionally legal mandate via the Amendment process to instill the versions of Socialism that lefties want.

Apparently, the Constitution isn't a living document, as you don't seem able to get it legally changed to favor your decidedly unConstitutional ideology.

The undeniable fact is the country wants MORE social programs and more taxation on the rich. THe democrats are doing what they were elected to do. Increasing revenue and keep the evil rich in check.
