And we get back to the same point we already have- the definition of an acceptable document changes. If you need to present your ss card, then that’s not the same as knowing your ss number. A baptism certificate was good enough now it’s not.

    Both. The answer is both.

Wouldn’t surprise me if that was true. But I don’t know on the top of my head. The state has been willing to let rioters riot in the past.

Nothing is stopping anyone from any race to get an ID. Nothing, no matter how you try to drag this out into a form of racism. If they need a birth certificate, it's very easy to order a duplicate from the state you were born in. There has to be some sort of standard to prove you are who you say you are, but they are hardly too high. If someone doesn't have an id, they should take the effort to get one. It really is that easy.

A form of ID isn't required to get baptised. One doesn't need to be a citizen in order to be baptised.

Then they aren't being suppressed by anyone other than themselves.

If you need a duplicate birth record, it costs money. I believe when I had to get one, it cost me around $20. One of my sources here talked about how for homeless people simply getting that money was too hard for them, making it hard to be documented by the state.

Who should I trust? A random stranger or the internet, or a public advocacy group?

And? What is your point? If you need proof of identity, why not use that to prove your name?

How? Not everyone pays attention to politics equally so it shouldn’t be surprising some people struggle to get the documents they need.

Tell me why I should want some one to vote that has no permanent address. And there are plenty of programs in every city in America to get you a free ID. And an ID is ten bucks without driving privileges here.

Then they can save for that $20. Save $1 per month and you'll have the doc you need before the next election.

At some point, one has to take some effort in life.

So spend 20 months on the streets?

Why not spend that $1 on something that makes you feel alive, if only for one night? That’s way more rational, especially if someone could steal it.

Apparently 20 months on the street is a serious proposition so I’m going to say yes.

Then you have your answer about why it matters for them to have documentation so they can vote. It’s really easy to commit acts of violence against someone once they’re stateless.

Use fingerprints or iris scans then to ID voters. That can't be racist. Everybody gets printed using the same black inkpad. But I'm sure they can come up some way it's racist as well I'm giving up.

It was really easy for them to do it before hand or they wouldn't be felons.

    Actually.....

Yeah it kinda is. Because what happens when there is a crime? You have all these fingerprints available. You basically take away their right to not self incriminate. In general, if you tell someone to do something criminals do, you’re racially categorizing then. Plus it doesn’t help with things like address issues.

I thank you didn't make a point before hand and I don't think you understood mine. The minute you commit a felony you become lawless. Permitting the lawless input into the process of law making corrupts the process.

I can see how criminal rapists and murderers wouldn't want their fingerprints on file for voting purposes. That makes it racist without even a thought sorry I brought it up.

You are acting as if no one can come up with $20 for their entire life. I suggested saving $1 per month and you drew up some crazy conclusion and make excuses as to why that was not doable. It's hard to imagine someone who makes excuses their entire life as to why victims are always victims, but here you are.

No you don't. You just become someone who committed a crime. Doesn't mean they're less human.

    Thanks for proving my point.

$20/$1 a month=20 months. What I'm saying is why spend that money on a document which might get you some help, when another option is to just spend that money on something that makes you happy and feel alive. If only for one night. Not victims, human. They're acting as humans.
