After looking on line I was reminded that to even get in a Federal or local Gov building you must have legal Photo ID as of 2020.. I remember having to dig all my crap out Birth SSN/card and at least one utility bill to even renew my DL.. If we didn't comply we couldn't fly or enter any Gov building..

So I don't know how people manage without proper ID anymore.. Good luck to them I guess..

Honestly they don't. They struggle to live. They can't prove who they are, and are victims of the state as a result. It's really easy to abuse that population. And unfortunately? They are abused.

Let's understand something here, if you don't have voter ID you have no one to blame but yourself. The process is simple, a hell of a lot quicker than voting itself in some precincts, mostly Democrat ones, and within easy reach of the majority of people.

I doubt that premise very much. Prove photo ID is easy to obtain, for let's say someone who doesn't have a permanent address or enough money to get copies of documents?

Choosing not to reply to your every word does not mean or imply that i can not... Nice try snark.
If could have gotten it with that form of ID then yes it means she had access and chose not to... FFS man its simple stuff we are discussing here.

Feelings is your job? No wonder you were almost homeless.

What you have shown over and over again is that people do have ID and do have access to said ID... What you have implied without knowing it ( it might sink in) is that you nor the Government can mandate choice. If she lived her entire life ( well up to 84) and at no point requested a SS card or other ID that is on her... Not a "system" not "racism" and certainly not the Government.

Honestly in the US it's not as big a problem as say India. They literally disenfranchised Muslims using these same tactics. Almost 15% of their entire population are Muslims. And mark my words, we're going to see ethnic cleansing in the coming years. I don't want this to happen in the US.

If the prospective voter is REGISTERED TO VOTE isn't that sufficient voter ID??? And if you re not registered to vote, don't you have to vote provisional ballot only???

Food pantries that don't require strict photo Id, or they buy it by working jobs that don't require strict photo id.

Yup. We're talking about what counts as sufficient proof to be registered to vote. If I remember NY correctly, you can use bills as sufficient proof. Elsewhere it's photo ID.

photo ID is only useful if it is issued by an official agency of government, if it's just PERSONAL ID card created by oneself it is useless.

Denying people their constitutional right to vote is akin to denial of citizenship.

We’ll try to check your identity before Election Day, through the DMV number (driver’s license number or non-driver ID number), or the last four digits of your social security number, which you’ll fill in below. If you do not have a DMV or social security number, you may use a valid photo ID, a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or some other government document that shows your name and address. You may include a copy of one of those types of ID with this form— be sure to tape the sides of the form closed. If we are unable to verify your identity before Election Day, you will be asked for ID when you vote for the first time.

To get one of those at some point you had to have an ID.. Be it a utility bill, Bank account, paycheck etc etc etc etc

You have to show an ID to get a CV19 vaccination. Suppression?
You have to show an ID to buy a gun. Suppression?

I don't think it is. I do think proof of citizenship and residence needs to be shown at registration. Then having a valid ID when voting is no big thing.

The thing is one has to have a valid ID to open a bank account and cash a check. To buy a car, get a drivers licence, any type of insurance and many, many more things. Some stores even require for you to show your valid ID before using a credit card.

Here in Georgia, the state will give you a valid ID free. I don't know about other states, but there is no excuse to not having a valid ID here in Georgia.

So which is it, people don't vote because they are not engaged in politics, therefore they are not 'supressed' from doing so, or they consider not having an ID as a barrier to voting, when they can obtain one?

Do they apply the same theory to paying taxes also? Buying food? Accessing assistance programs?

Didn't they use voter registration data in India to track down and kill Muslims?
