That's fine, your opinion on it isn't at issue. The issue if should we use your opinion or mine to define policy for all of society? I would argue that we shouldn't, but rather should make considerations for all. You can say all abortion is murder, and I can say not all abortion is. So a compromise can be reached, namely, abortion prior to viability outside the womb. Fine. But to say you get your way 100%, effectively in this case in Texas, how is that good for society?

Cool, then the state of Texas can pay more for unwanted children and you're good with it? Do you live in Texas? That certainly helps ease my concern.

Have you considered those unwanted children are from people who don't agree with abortion...? If so, that's their choice. But now their choice has hurt others. So perhaps they made a poor choice. What can you do? I mean, it's not the choice I might have made. On the same thing, why then ban someone else's choice to not have a child they don't want? It seems like a perfectly valid, logical choice with benefits to society.

If people don't want children they shouldn't get pregnant.

Isn't it their choice? Or are you making a eugenics argument?
Well it seems as long as people have that choice they are going to decide. So you're argument about welfare failed we already pay that.

The state has a right to protect all human life. I say if it has a heartbeat it should be protected. So I agree with this law 100%

The greater majority wants a woman to be able to choose.

Not wearing a mask is not intentionally killing anyone. Masks haven’t even been proven to conclusively stop the spread. Aborting a child conclusively stops a heart beat.

Abstinence doesn’t. What’s so hard about waiting till marriage? But if you’re willing to have sex then you should be willing to deal with the consequences

The greater majority of Texas voted for the legislatures that created this law.

4 million hearts were stopped by Covid.

As I said, I personally believe that the State can make laws to ban abortion, but how do you explain the contradiction in your view between these two medical procedures when both are measures to protect human life?

Married women have abortions all the time.

Prove to me that if the state mandated masks that no one would die of COVID. Prove to me the actual number difference as in a specific number of saved lives cause I can tell you how many babies wouldn’t die of abortion if abortion was made illegal
For medical reasons that this bill does not stop… outside of that they shouldn’t be getting them either

I am not going to prove something I never claimed. Precautions save lives, and we are talking about A LOT of lives.

Ok. Prove to me that every fetus which was aborted would have been born alive. It cannot be proven.

I am pro life, but I believe that a government mandated ban is not the best way to reduce abortions. Better availability to contraceptives WOULD make a difference. As a matter of fact, abortions have been declining steeply (20% from 2011-2017) and it has nothing to do with government bans. It was all about reduction to unplanned pregnancies over all.

I never said it would be born alive. I said I can give you a number that wouldn’t die of abortions

There is no proof their won’t be an adverse long term effect of constant mask wearing. You can’t say for sure masks save lives

Ok, you want the government involved in making the call in one medical procedure, but not some others, and you try justify it by saying that there is no point in the vaccine because it doesn't save everybody......Not a good answer. Seat belts don't save everybody either. Do you oppose them too?

You realize that anti-abortions laws were tried for 100 years in this country- during a period when the country was FAR more conservative than it is now, and that those laws were a failure, right. Not a question.
