This ought to send shockwaves across the country. Once again, taxpayer funds paying for abortions. With mediciad costs like an albatross hanging on states, it's bound to come up sooner or later.

There's NOTHING in the article that says federal funds are paying for abortions. It has been against the law (Hyde Amendment) for years to use federal money for abortions except for rape, incest, and life endangerment of the pregnant woman. Only a few abortions a year meet those qualifications for medicaid.

    From your article:
The Obama administration has told Texas that its plans violate federal law.

If the two parties can’t reach agreement, the newspaper reports, the state’s Women’s Health Program could be dismantled, leaving 130,000 low-income women without access to birth control, cancer screenings and other preventive benefits.

It is your silly self who continually says that every pregnancy places the woman in grave danger of loss of life or health. Wouldn't that make EVERY abortion available to be paid for with tax dollars?

Every pregnancy is a risk to a womans health. If there was no risk, women would never die during pregnancy or childbirth, would they?

Neither would every woman need ante natal care throughout her pregnancy and be delivered by trained midwives in a hospital.
