It's nice to know that people who are dying must mostly have an easy time of it. I feel sorry for the poor souls who are so into the fire and brimstone that's what their death dream is about, Hopefully there aren't any but I think that a little too good to be true. OTOH I talked to a doctor who believes that is true, that the death dream is happy for everyone. He says he doesn't even advise people to keep a vigil by the deathbed anymore. It's hard on the person doing it and he honestly believes it only interferes with the bliss of the dying persons' experience

Near death experiencer Dr. George Ritchie, back in 1943, was shown that
our beliefs can have a huge impact in the calibre of our actual death experience.......

Or.... were your intentions actually quite good......
    almost altruistic.....
and could you actually be a being of light... just under the surface.....

could it be that the people who break out from under your
Scientology type scheme... such as Pastor John Ramirez.... are actually
    your favourite people......

much like Dr. Stanley Milgram of course had the most respect for the people who
REFUSED to zap the "learner subject" into what they THOUGHT could be full fledged cardiac arrest?!?!

If any "being of light" spoke to me, I'd analyse what it said.
Basically if it talked sh*te to me I'd tell it to get on its bike, and even if it talked what seemed like good sense I'd still take it with a pinch of salt in case it was trying to worm it's way into my mind.
Macbeth is a great study of the subject; the 3 witches keep telling him what he wants to hear and only much later does he realise they've been leading him up the garden path..
"And be these juggling fiends no more believed,
That palter with us in a double sense,
That keep the word of promise to our ear,
And break it to our hope"

And of course that 'Spiritual Survival Manual' called the Bible warns us against dabbling in the occult-
"Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.." (Lev 19:31)
Also steer clear of oddball religious cults-
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Cor 11:13/14)

That certainly fits with the first part of Howard Storm's near death experience.

But then again.... the beings that he met at first were not beings of light but were
    very grey in color.

    http://www.patheos.com/blogs/tonyjones/2012/06/22/don-piper-did-not-go-to-heaven/
Don Piper Did Not Go To Heaven

Why would an obviously well informed Christian be scared to read
at least one of the "heaven and back genre?"

My theory is that they could find out that fourteen year old Colton Burpo, who
had a near death experience at three years of age,
has better answers on virtually every scriptural question that you could
think of asking..... that a high percentage of people who have spent
many years at a Christian seminary?!

    Just a theory!?

The problem I have with accepting NDE's is that NOBODY DIED, (the clue is in the name 'Near-death Experience') so although their experiences might be interesting to some, I don't take them seriously because they might simply have been a dream or hallucination or whatever.
As Shakespeare said in Hamlet, death is- "That undiscovered country from whose bourne [frontier] no traveller returns"..
If I have an NDE, I might be mildly interested in what a being of light said, but would probably just yawn with boredom..;)

It still raises questions mate, for example this is from your link-
"Pam's consciousness floated out of the operating room and traveled down a tunnel which had a light at the end of it where her deceased relatives and friends were waiting including her long-dead grandmother"

Yet the Bible says dead people are "asleep in Jesus" (1 Thess 4:13/14)
til resurrection day, so what happened, did they get woken up to say hello to her?
There's an interesting bit in 'The Exorcist' film where the demon in the little girl pretends to be the priest's mother, speaking in his mother's voice to rattle him, but he has the good sense to say "You're not my mother!"
If I had an NDE and met so-called "deceased relatives", I wouldn't believe for an instant that they were genuine and would tell them "On yer bikes!"..:)
"..for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Cor 11:13/14)

PS- Anyway the Bible is quite clear that when we die we get rid of our squishy earthly bodies and become purely spiritual life-forms-
"The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable...it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.. flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor 15:42-50)

Yes... there are a lot of verses in the Bible that can make
the state of the dead look that way.

But there are many other verses that cover a different angle on the
    whole subject.

I believe that this is the NDE account that got me researching
the other side to the soul sleep doctrine that I believed in from 1972 or 1973 until
    1990.

I can see satan's fingerprints all over that passage mate, so I'd advise you not to swallow it..:)
You see, it implies that non-christians will get a "second chance" to avoid hell after they die, and that they needn't worry while they're alive on earth and can therefore drop their guard!
Yet in the parable of Lazarus in hell, Jesus makes it absolutely clear that there's NO second chance for nonchristians, and that when they die it's "game over".

I actually chose three of the options....

He is HaShem/ the G-d of Abraham/ YHWH.

He is Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in his glorified form.

If there is a LIFE REVIEW... then it is G-d.

On the plus side of all this.....
if that being of light of NDE fame is in fact The Devil.......
then maybe the Devil has already repented and returned to
a high percentage of obedience to the G-d of Abraham?????

    http://www.politicalforum.com/relig...en-angel-return-g-d-divide-kingdom-satan.html

Does a major fallen angel return to G-d and divide the kingdom of Satan and...

    cause it to fall?

In a nutshell I have came to strongly suspect that Azazel is the fallen angel who will be somewhat like General Abner who brought the ten tribes over to King David or to Rav Shaul/Paul who repented of persecuting Christians and followers of God.

I suspect that when the fallen angel Azazel returns to the God of Abraham with his whole heart...when Yom Kippur is completely fulfilled....then a major step will have been taken toward the ushering in of a truly new era of worldwide peace where even the eating habits of wild animals like lions will be altered!

I've read book by exorcists and demonologists, and they say demons will pretend to be anything and everything to try to get their foot in the door of our minds, hence the Bible warnings-
"Don't give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:27)
"..for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Cor 11:13/14)

They can't usually get in on their own, they have to be invited in by us, that's why they pretend to be "angels" or "mystic figures" or "deceased relatives" to try to fool us.
The film 'The Exorcist' gave a good example of this when the demon in the girl pretended to be the priest's dead mother speaking through the girl's mouth, but the priest was clever enough to know it was a demon and yelled "You're not my mother!"
Personally even if "Jesus" appeared to me I'd know it was phoney and tell it to get on its bike..:)

    Yes..... this idea of Satan
appearing as an angel of light could well be an idea that goes back
to the time of Adam and Eve.

The Book of Adam and Eve was preserved into our time period
only in Arabic. Copies of this ancient writings in all other languages were
    burned.............

The peace is a result of attainment of all knowledge. The question why no longer exists. The "big picture" is revealed and everything that has ever happened on earth has a place in it. Even the tragedies that occur here look beautiful from the other side.
    I know that sounds crazy.

THAT does NOT sound crazy to me......
that is EXACTLY what near death experiencer Ms. Beverly Brodsky reported as well...............

I think that amazing woman would probably slaughter me in verbal debates.........
I think I could hold my own against her in written ones though.........
