If you would describe yourself as an Agnostic / Atheist you would probably most enjoy the NDE of Mellen Benedict. If you would describe yourself as a Christian, then I would highly recommend the NDE of former Atheist Howard Storm. If you are Jewish.... I think you would love the NDE of Ms. Beverly Brodsky. http://www.near-death.com/religion/judaism/beverly-brodsky.html Beverly Brodsky's Near-Death Experience
Your response is brilliant..... and I believe accurate. These accounts have changed my world view.... and I believe will alter the science of psychology and psychiatry in many ways over the coming decades. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...s-transform-psychiatry-and-psychology.366684/ Will near death experience accounts transform psychiatry and psychology?
Here is an example of how they tie together........ Near death experiencer Dr. P. M. H. Atwater reports that she went into an out of the body experience and observed events surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack....... either what she reports is basically true..... to the best of her ability to understand it...... or she is basically deceived somehow. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...f-those-who-died-on-september-11-2001.440512/
It is only fair that I warn you that you should not claim any more credit for this particular work of art than you are due! http://www.politicalforum.com/index...-early-as-2016.397835/page-11#post-1067553829
I avoided this topic for so long, but my opinion is that the light of NDE fame is the oldest version of you. I voted: The being of light is the most ancient version of yourself. Well at least I got that impression when I was hooked into a machine in the hole through the Universe where there was a human congregation. And I was connected to something else to speak for it. I personally thought it was me from before I was born.
Wow! That is an excellent answer which corresponds with what several near death experiencers report. One of them is Mr. Christian Andreason..... The Man on the Throne by Christian Andreason.... is he onto something important?
Your idea also fits with a statement by near death experiencer Dr. George Ritchie........ http://www.near-death.com/experiences/notable/george-ritchie.html#a05
If more of us read near death experience accounts, the people who basically tend to support Hillary might dislike Trump supporters less...... and the Trump supporters who read NDE accounts might gain some empathy for Hillary supporters. A better world is coming....... but fighting and criticizing each other is not the best way to make it happen. http://www.near-death.com/experiences/notable/howard-storm.html#a04
Or.... could the fact that the basic near death experience can be replicated in a number of ways indicate that the human brain is somehow connected to higher dimensional energy. http://www.near-death.com/experiences/triggers.html
There are NDEs that have involved watching relatives in hospital waiting rooms and quoting their conversations, describing their clothing, and the precise activities along with who was involved while the NDE observer's body was clinically dead in the operating room. These cases have been confirmed by the relatives involved. Drugs don't do this to anyone's brain.
This idea has been studied in great depth by medical professionals and proven false. NDEs involve provable evidence of experiences that no drugs or combination of drugs can ever elicit. True, individual aspects of an NDE can be duplicated by certain drugs, but not the whole gamut of experiences described by thousands of NDErs. Plus, no drug induced hallucination ever has the effect of totally changing ones whole world view forever. NDEs do that constantly.
Exactly......... how in the world could a brush with death result in the experiencer having a major INCREASE in IQ and other capabilities if the NDE was merely a brain chemical process? http://community.humanityhealing.ne...-near-death-experience-and-iq-surges-given-to Gary Plumley's near death experience and IQ surges given to people who have OBE/ NDE? ...
Yep, when the heart stops beating, the body stops breathing, this is a general sign the body is no longer living. That is why doctors check for a heart beat to determine if the person is dead, or still alive. If the person has a heart beat and is breathing, we figured out the person was still alive. Call a person with these signs of life...dead, is like calling a person who is not breathing, who has no heart beat, alive. So sometimes doctors can bring people back from death.
You are above your pay grade here. Morons declare something moronic which contradicts their beliefs, and generally beliefs not at all thought out. So much time, so much research, so much thought have been devoted to something you equate with big foot. Take something like remote viewing. Still called Woo and yet hard evidence says differently. And yet, you have some scientists who still do not believe in the existence of evidence.
That doesn't constitute death. No brain activity does. Nope. When you are dead, you are dead. Not breathing and no heartbeat doesn't necessarily mean you are dead.
I read a book about Ingo Swann back in the 1990's. The CIA and KGB don't invest serious bucks in Woo! Wolf Messing convinced Stalin that psychic abilities were real so the Russians actually got ahead of America in some of this type of research. I read about Messing in "Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingo_Swann
yea, this isn't a repeatable or verifiable test. remote viewing, like NDE out of body experiences, is made up nonsense.
I can see that you bought into the same simplistic myths that former Atheist Howard Storm believed was accurate BEFORE his brush with death and near death experience! Rahl...... String Theory combined with probability virtually eliminate the possibility that we humans are the most ancient or most technologically advanced form of life in the universe / Multiverse. I know that this is hard for us humans to accept...... but we are only at the top of the food chain in four dimensional space - time, on one little planet in a vast universe/ Multiverse. http://www.near-death.com/experiences/notable/howard-storm.html
I think doctors who have patients whose hearts and breathing have stopped, declare those patients "dead." The fact that some of them have powerful, life-changing memories of experiences they had during the period of their deaths, is powerful evidence that dying affects the physical body but not the consciousness.
