    Hmmm. Only partly.

    Wrong question. How many deaths can we be responsible for if we dont? Once again this crazy wild eyed libritarian foreign policy falls apart when your advasary is not rational. Theocracy is not rational. Twelvers such as the Ayatollah and Ahmadinejad are not rational people. Therefore you must take them at their word when they want to start international war. To not sanction them because they are hideing behind their people is to effectivly negotiate with terrorism and encourage the practice of human sheilds.

    I know who was involved in 9/11 and Afghanistan was about 10th on the list.

    Carrots and sticks my friend. An American absense in that area will result in war, which is really not a bad thing (it sorts everything out) unless you have nukes involved. Thats yet anohter reason to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. Every time someone obtaines a nuke we end up paying them to keep it a secret and not to use them. North Korea and Packastan are such examples. One nuclear power can hold the world hostage. One irrational nuclear power will just destroy the world.

    Oh God he's a truther. I guess when you wage the abstract war on terrorism its tough to nail it down as we did in the Philippines. We care too much about the rights of those who dont play by the same rules.

    In a way, he is right that Afghanistan didn't attack us. The Taliban certainly don't represent all of that country. And the Taliban certainly didn't attack us on 9/11. Their only connection is that they gave safe haven to Al-Qaeda through a monetary arrangement.

    After multiple deployments around the world in the United States Marines, both in combat and non combat missions, I think Ive got a better handle on international policy, culture, and relations than you do. Especially when we were making international news, not watching it.

    I don't agree with that. If he really was/is a US Marine who has been deployed to the frontlines in the War on Terror, I would say he probably has a unique perspective of issues like this that we could probably never understand. Therefore his opinions would hold some credibility.

However, I am inclined to reply by advocating that put down the tin foil hat, get out of your underground bunker full of twinkies and articles on Obamas birth cirtificait, and travel the world for a while. Specifically to Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan. Then, as your being kidnapped and murdered remember what I said about rationality in the 3rd world.

    It certainly has. I thought I was talking to a reasonable fella. It seems as though I've wasted my time. However, as Jefferson once wrote "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." My job as a Marine was indeed to secure said rights. Infact, the militarys very presence does this without fireing a shot. And that is the reason he is lucky to be able to spew such nonsense.

    If your were to get in to the meat and potatoes of foreign relations and international policy you would realize that it isnt as black and white as you think. Adhominim attacks, on the other hand, only discredit your arguement.

    There is way too much evidence proving that the attack on American soil which changed America had ties within America. You can believe their piles of obvious bull(*)(*)(*)(*) or you can fight against this war against individualism and liberty.
