You shouldn’t go for testing. You are advised to self quarantine if you think you have Covid. If on the other hand you are in the small minority that is in danger with this virus you are supposed to call your doctor and make arraignments to be admitted to a hospital. At that point you will be tested.

 

So you think that if you're sick and might have Coronavirus, you should run outside around other people to get to the hospital to get a test....

For what, exactly?

Why would you not just stay home and not spread it?

Treatment is based on your condition, not on having Coronavirus or not.

Exactly. Palliative treatment is what you get, like the guy at the specialized U. of Nebraska isolation unit who did well on the Gatorade they gave him. There ain't no drugs. There isn't any immunization. This isn't a situation where you can want it and want it now and get it (a cure). The Wuhan Wet Market virus is but only three months known to the world.

 

So why, then, is money being spent on testing kits?

 

That stats imputed and gathered by testing are going to help with the next go 'round of COVID-19, and with the next new virus. Those stats might possibly even help later on this go 'round of COVID-19.

Like they said on GMA this morning, do what you would have done six months ago. If you have a cough or sneeze and feel miserable, stay home. If you have a 104 temp and severe symptoms go to the emergency room [or triage tent area] at your local hospital.

If you want a panacea and everything to be perfect right now, sorry, you cannot have that.
