    lol!

We're not handing out money to anyone. We're handing it out to people who couldn't possibly have prepared for this kind of disaster.

And, that's what we SHOULD be doing.

Sorry - not interested in word games.

You know full well what science is telling you.

Lol...We don't expect you people to understand that we don't see immigrants as germs to be exterminated, but we're grateful to know the difference.
The real idiot is trump, who wants to let the virus spread freely but thinks we need a wall around the country to keep out immigrants.
By the way, Mexico should be the one keeping Americans out since their casualties are minuscule compared to the US.

Corporations fall into this same category. The government told them to shut down and told their employees to stay home. If we lose the corporations, more people will be out of work and pension and 401K plans will suffer.

Like i've said several times now, that's what Ford took explicit action to survive.

What happened to Republicans who in 2008 promoted capitalism vs. "too big to fail"?

We just got through giving corporations STUPENDOUS tax cuts - increasing the number of Fortune500 copanies that don't pay tax at all! And, most of THAT went to stock buybacks and other activity that benefits stock holders, not employees.

Like I said. People could take explicit action to survive.

    I haven't disagreed with that.

The latest help for humans doesn't include me.

And, any company in the Fortune500 should be exempt, to. And, that goes double for those we excuse from taxes.

The point you keep missing is that corporations are structured differently depending on their objectives. They may even change the way they are structured so that when they expand, they might be vulnerable to this kind of problem. All corporations are not equal nor are they constant. Lose those corporations and the whole country suffers. They aren't too big to fail, but we ill see the impact and specific parts of the population will be hurt more than others.

We have humans who can't pay rent, who can't go to the hospital, who are food insecure, who are working while sick because they have to, etc.

Humans are the first order of business. That's just the way it is.

And, let's remember that capitalism is designed to free the resources of corporations that are failing, allowing others who are succeeding to thrive. That is why it works.

That's the definition of too big to fail.

In 2008 we bailed out banks, auto companies (except Ford) and farious others not because they were big, but because politicians believed the lobbyists who claimed that the impact of them failing would be too big.

No. But any failure has an effect. Some more than others.

Actually, I don't know what the science is telling me. I do know what the politics is telling me what the science tells them.

But as the politics is a self-serving liar, I don't pay any attention.
