Slowing the growth of the illness is accomplished by keeping people from interaction. The Chinese were able to slow down the growth by, among other things, having quarantine hotels. People self quarantining in their homes with their family is just spreading it within the walls of the home. They also have checkpoints at the entrances to every public building and offer 'drive through' testing.

 

Allow me to continue with my fantasy.

Viruses for the common cold are extremely contagious and are airborne pathogens. 80% of the people who come down with the common cold certainly know they are sick. In fact, caused by a runny nose, headachy feeling, shortness of breath, couphing spells, they are quite miserable. The symptoms last for about two weeks.

For the other 20%, the common cold can be quite serious. Many are elderly with underlying conditions such as respiratory ailments, heart conditions, and weaken immune systems. A very small percentage of these people die from the common cold.

Sound familiar?

 

There are 41 deaths from coronavirus since the first death on 2-29. Average deaths in the US are at 2.9 per day, still flat hovering around 3 per day after 14 days.

Nobody under 50 has died from coronavirus in the USA.

This is a politically driven panic. It's crazy.

Five people have died in the U.S. since yesterday. That compares easily to the number of people who died last year and the year before that of the common cold or illnesses brought on by the common cold such as pneumonia.

In 2018, an average 641 people died of lung cancer in the U.S.

Are we going a little overboard on all this? Just asking.

 

Lots of people die of lots of things each day in the US, somewhere around 7500. Around three million a year. Compared to that, this virus is of little or no concern.

I will take actions to protect myself as should everyone, but I am not going to spend a minute worrying about it.

The new NCP coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days, how can one know if he/she is infected. By the time they have fever and/or cough and goes to the hospital, the lungs is usually 50 % Fibrosis and it's too late!

Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning:

Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stuffiness or tightness, etc.,it proves there is no fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicating no infection.

In critical times, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air.

SERIOUS EXCELLENT ADVICE by Japanese Doctors treating COVID-19 cases:

Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat is moist, never DRY. Take a few sips of water every 15 mins at least. WHY?

Even if the virus gets into your mouth...drinking water or other liquids will WASH them down through your esophagus into the stomach. Once there in tummy...your stomach ACID will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly....the virus can enter your windpipes and into the LUNGS. That's very dangerous.

Please explain the purpose of 'containment zones', as you see them.

 

If the illness is proven mental, why not?

Otherwise, we do nothing until the someone kills someone else?

Why don't you just take a look at the EXAMPLES of containment zones in China and South Korea because that is what I was talking about.

It is way too late for them now here in America thanks entirely to the self serving INCOMPETENCE of your criminal IMPOTUS.

No one should die of any disease or virus, but your hyperbolic finger pointing provides nothing of any value to the discussion, nor helps with any person who is immune compromised.
