Then you are assuming that the only reason this is happening is because teachers, school boards, and Democrats are all really pedophiles who do this to get their kicks. This is another attempt to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Has there been a history of teachers abusing 3rd graders? Don't you think that if this were happening there were already meathods that exist to deal with the problem?
This is the right's attempt to slander people and control a political message. It will soon be followed by the law that forbids discussion of race in the workplace.

For now, all that you are called on to do is respect the will of the People Of Florida as expressed through The People's Legislature and quit having sex talks with 5-8 year olds, which you claim, isn't happening anyway. So, why the full court press against these sensible prohibitions to protect very young children from being groomed in school?

You need to work on your reading comprehention skills. My problem is the fact that in a discussion that makes "the left" the aggresser in the culture wars it is people like you that are supporting the name calling.
Since I can't speak for others I will speak for myself, having read the law I saw no mention of grooming, discussing sexual acts, stopping teachers from abusing children or that the abuse of children was a concern.
That intrepretation is coming from the minds of people who apparently have an unhealthy interest in the subject.

This would seem to be a kind of suicide by Disney management- a move so destructive to the healthy image they have nurtured for longer than most people have been alive, destroyed in short order by radical ideologists. Right now- Trips to Disneyland are being cancelled, cruises on the Disney ships cancelled, Disney products are being removed from toy boxes, taken off the shelves at stores, removed as options to view online.... and nothing that can do will resurrect it in the future. My friends all tell me that my reading comprehension skills are fabulous beyond belief. Now, I think they are fine, probably above average, but I wouldn't go that far with all the fabulous stuff, but then I'm very modest guy. We shouldn't have to pass a law to stop the grooming of little children in school. We shouldn't see 14 year girls thrown to the bathroom floor and raped and sodomized by a skirt wearing abuser who wears the skirt so that he can rape and sodomize young girls in the restroom. Schools should not conceal that from parents in order to keep letting skirt wearing rapists into the restrooms putting more young girls at risk. And when a Dad stands up and objects to the school concealing the attack in order to keep allowing male rapists into the girls bathrooms, we shouldn't then see Dad thrown to the floor, cuffed and arrested. And you what else we shouldn't see? We shouldn't see the dirtbags of the National Association of School Boards, engaging in an unjust conspiracy with the Dirtbags of the DOJ and FBI to treat concerned vocal parents as "terrorists".

Parents and Legislatures are addressing this lawfully, through our Constitutional Liberal Democracy, and if you have a problem with the law they have produced, you have every lawful right and privilege to litigate it, and fully explore and communicate our points and views to an impartial Court and receive an informative well sourced and reasoned decision resolving the dispute.

No sex talks from adults to K-3rd graders in school. Age appropriate from 4th-12th, and don't conceal things from parents. Perfectly reasonable and where these laws have been passed, a done deal.

I would encourage you to litigate any law you feel unjustly violates your rights. That's what Courts are for and they overall do a decent job of resolving these kinds of disputes.

 

What is it about conservatives thinking that being ignorant and sheltered is somehow virutous and protective? This isn't the first time. They had abstinence only education because they thought learning about sex would cause sex. Now they have an even more ridiculous notion that learning about trans people will make somebody become trans? In reality, the person would already have those inclinations, and instead of being told to stuff it down and tough it out, they're told it's okay to be as they are. The liberal world is a better place, particularly for anybody who isn't a white male heterosexual christian.

 

Most kids 5-8 have no idea as to their preferences or alternative identity. They can wait to age 9 to begin any dealing with that in a classroom setting

 

The left and the perverts all say sex is not talked about in K-3. Then they go nuts when a law is passed prohibiting what they say isn't happening. Go figure. If the government passed a law that I couldn't pitch a tent and camp on the planet Mars I would not go nuts trying to repeal the law.
