Sure. It is what many, if not most do in real life as well. thump thump thump, beat chest.

Yes again. And as one live longer, they gain more knowledge and experience. But when one stops and says, that's it. I got it figured out. Then they begin to lose experience and knowledge. One must learn and grow and live everyday. The only thing that is constant is change.

It is only a vicious cycle if you allow yourself to get caught up in the stupidity of the chest thumping. We all get caught up in it from time to time. But realize it is just that. Nothing more.
You carried on in one long paragraph so I can't tell where/if you're serious or have jocularity imbedded some where.

It goes further back then that. Start with freeing the slaves. Then came the women's right to vote. After that it doesn't really matter anymore.

I clicked like cuz your 1st sentence about social engineering IMO is true.
As for the rest of it. I have no idea. It is way to difficult to read through a complete run on of words, especially that long.

Nope... the quote that showed on your post was a post that was made by brucebeat. I agree that something needs to be done about the quote function and something else done about those people who do not know how to prevent such happenings.

I like you would bet that there was some editing, in fact I'm sure of it.
Yeah, some give an approximate date of his existance.
What sort of stories are you referring to? I'm sure some care about socrates, but that has no bearing on his existance.

What kind of proof do you want?

You may can test what socrates supposedly said, but you can't even prove he said it. So then actually you can't test what socrates said. You're right, they may not have produced documents about socrates that contradicted each other, in fact they produced very little. But I have yet to see where anything in scripture contradicts each other.

You may be correct maybe scribes were part of the problem, but do you think every "scribe" was corrupt? Do you think that all early church leaders were corrupt? Do you think their may have been early anatagonists to scripture? If so, what were their findings? How did the "pro-christian" movement refute those errors?

Do you not feel that everybody wants to support what they believe? Do you not want to support what you believe?

What do you mean by a "leisurely" sort of explosion?

The period of time involved is 30 million years or so, so its a leisurely sort of "explosion"

The word "explosion" might be taken to describe something happening in less than 30 million years. Doesnt that sound kind of slo-mo for an "explosion"?

Dont be ridiculous. Of course I wont say everything is expalinable. One thing one learns from science, the more you learn the stranger thigns get and the more obvious it is that profound mysteries lie beyond.

For the deep mystereies we may be on the inteloligence level of a cat trying to understand calculus.

or the source of Cat Food. Perhaps the cat thinks it is supernatural.

In the absence of any evidence for the supernatural, or Batboy, i will assume its not there. If you assume things are supernatural, then, no sense looking for how they work, is not so?

There is no such thing as a "creation geologist". IF there is a geologist somewhere who is a creatinist and thinks the earth was poofed a few thousand years ago and that there was a flood, he is on the level of a pilot who thinks god holds his plane up.

But lets say your "creation geologist" exists. Anyone can go around getting some facts, some data. What do the facts mean? What is the meaning of this rock pile?

Now, if your creo-geo says, say, that this pile of rocks is from the flood, well, another can come along and say yeah, well, how odd that this pile is in a parking lot. IE he disproved the flood-make-the-pile theory. Especially as it is crushed rock mixed with crushed concrete.

Nobody has any evidence for the flood. Claimed evidence is like the rock pile in the parking lot, if you understand the comparison.

You and OD are undermining the premise of the thread better than any atheist argument could. Your posts have become even uglier since your long hiatus.
PF was a more civil and enjoyable place during that time.

Oh my goodness! How irrelevant can a post of yours be expressed. If you are truly so upset about my presence on this forum (which I doubt that you are else you would not make so many responses to my posts), then you always have the option of using the ignore function. That is a function that operates in a fashion that could almost be looked upon as magical. That ignore function sort of provides the illusion that I am not present and affords you with that comfort zone that you seemingly desire. Try using it... you might like it.

Where then is the evidence which irrefutably proves there was no flood?

But then how could I point out your absurdity?
How could I laugh at the poor grammar of the self-appointed master of semantics?

Even the Right has its own problems with morals in modern times. Why not simply require a morals test instead of a drug test?

"creo-geo" was hilarious, I liked that!! That was just good! I got to give you props on that one!!

Anyway, yeah there are creation geologist, and they even had a conference.

    http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/2007/07/31/creation-geologists-meet-at-cedarville

I'm sure you'd have love to been there to poke fun at them.
But, really they evidently see some evidence for the flood, they have a website devoted to it.
But here's the problem, I go back to the original problem which is, I can't prove or disprove them , and I can't prove or disprove the "anti-flood"( for lack of a better word) people. I just don't have that knowledge base.

Basically I'm going to have to take someones word for it.

i've done this; others have; anyone with a childs grasp of common sense doenst need it proven.

We do of course enjoy your constant use of the word "irrefutable' which lets you think you win every time you say it.
