What do you mean "produced fossils"? Fossils are formed when organisms are buried in such a way that there is some preservation.

Living things dying and being buried produced fossils?

    What else would do it?

Your first creogeo: John Baumgardner was working on a Ph.D. in electrical engineering when he discovered the reality of Jesus in a dramatic way through a group Bible study of the Gospel of John

2 Dr. John Whitmore received a B.S. in geology from Kent State University, a M.S. in geology from the Institute for Creation Research and a Ph.D. in Biology, Paleontology emphasis from Loma Linda University. Currently an Associate Professor of Geology, he is active in teaching and research at Cedarville University.

Loma Linda is a Seventh-day Adventist Health Sciences Institution

why dont these guys go to real schools like say Berkeley of Stanford or Chicago?

Cedarville is anothr "christian college", but we note that a respectable christian school like Baylor will have nothave anything to do with creationists.

Do you ever wonder why no non-christain scientist seems able to detect all of this flood data? Seriously, why to you thnik that is? They can see any other kind of geology but not that?

Kent state is accredited; you know good and well "ICR" is not, it may as well be the "U" where I got my DoD for 20 dollars.

Andrew A. Snelling is a geologist, research scientist and technical editor. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Geology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, graduating with First Class Honors in 1975. His Doctor of Philosophy (in geology) was awarded by The University of Sydney, Australia in 1982 for his research thesis entitled “A geochemical study of the Koongarra uranium deposit, Northern Territory, Australia”. Between studies and since Andrew worked for six years in the exploration and mining industries in Tasmania, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory variously as a field, mine and research geologist.

That is the only one with any claim at all to legitimacy.

do you have some reason why if "you have to take someone's word for it"
you would choose that of a group if unqualified people, with one or two
actual degree holding scientists involved, over the work of the entire
geological / bioligical / physcist community of the world?

What might that reason be? Do you think it is reasonable?

Do you think that the people you'd most trust are the ones who start with a conclusion and then try to prove it? Seriously, you do understand that is what they are doing?

(think: doctors and scientists who were hired to show that tobacco cant hurt you; they did produce papers to show its so, tobacco is harmless)

Strep back a moment and try to let common sense have a word with you.

produced was the wrong word. Don't a mass of fossil usually found all at one time usually indicate something catastrophic?

Well, I do consider myself a Child of God,,, therefore I also consider that I have a "childs grasp of common sense"; and I still require that you prove your claim that there was no flood.

I am surprised that you caught the drift with my usage of the term irrefutable. Now if you cannot irrefutably prove that there was no flood, then you have no viable argument.

Could non-creation geologist and biologist be wrong? Could they have an agenda? Could they be disingenuous?

You can't, because there is no absurdity.
Just like a clown at the circus. They are always laughing at something that is not necessarily funny. I guess you could utilize that new found faith to give you the reason to laugh when in the face of not being able to prove your previous claim regarding your claim of telling lies to your congregation. Now that one is funny. You call those things lies, but you cannot prove that they are lies.

Of course, you're right. You're not funny.
    You're simply sad.

Do you mean "found to have all been buried at the same time"?

That does happen in very rare instances. But that has nothing to do with the so called "cambiran explosion". The fossils accumulated over a period of 30 million years. Where is the catastrophe there?

as a footnote, a fossil site in the USA that I have been to (Agate Fossil Bess Nat'l Monument) has very much the look of a catasrophic event killing and burying hundreds of animals in a single event. Skeletons piled deep on top of eachother; camels, rhinos, and other animals with no name recognition.

However, on close examination it is seen the bones accumulated for at least two years, some lying unburied for that long; that they were trampled and scavenged in situ; that the site is actually a dried water hole something likeyou see on nature films of Africa, where animals die in the mud and all about.

It was a "catastrope" in the sense of a serious drought, and animals that depended on that waterhole died in large numbers. "C" like, "the flood"?
The facts are inconsistent with that theory.

    And for further clarification, why?

Only from your perspective. Whereas from my perspective, I am both (sometimes) humorous, informative, socially appropriate, very knowledgeable of electronics, very knowledgeable of my spiritual condition, lovable, creative, intelligent, politically correct, etc.; whereas you are pitiful. So much for perspectives huh? Opinions are like butt holes.... everybody has one.

Why should I consider the flood story as absurd? What evidence is required to make a showing of a "child's common sense"? Acting childish? Well, your line of questioning meets that category. Are you claiming that I lack a "child's common sense"? If you are, then you must show proof of claim.

Then why are you being illogically prone to respond to my postings? Is it perhaps because the system of logic which you use is ineffective against that which I use?

Well, you are capable of believing whatever you desire, but as some other non-theists might suggest, your beliefs are not based on facts therefore those beliefs are irrelevant. "You could educated yourself,,,," ??? Like Wow... talking about the pot calling the kettle black???? Take a couple more courses in grammar.

Whoever suggested that I was 'subtle'. I sometimes am told that I am too outspoken.... outspoken is not trait of being subtle.

Not to my taste, but to the likings of the dictionary:
    "ir·ref·u·ta·ble (-rfy-t-bl, r-fy-)
    adj.
Impossible to refute or disprove; incontrovertible: irrefutable arguments; irrefutable evidence of guilt."

On these forums, the only one of those traits you choose to exhibit was that very last. You know, the one like opinions.
After this lovely self promotion, you may want to go back to scripture and see if there is any reference in there in regards to pride or conceit.
Probably not, but you never know.

Why would you be concerned about what the Bible says Bruce? Remember, you are the one who abandoned your post as a pastor. Why would you be concerned about the activities of any Christian, when it is so obvious that you are at best Agnostic with strong longings to become Atheist?

    Non-responsive to my post.
It seems you have less interest in what the bible says than I do.
Couldn't find any references to pride or conceit?

you're quite a toxic human, ain't ya, Incblot.

but you're hell funny, at times. for instance, using the term 'abandoned' when discussing TBB's decision to stop the bull. that's like suggesting a rehabilitated junkie has abandoned heroin. and this; "strong longings to become atheist". only a theist (blackrook being a good example) can long for atheism. oy vay.

Aren't fossils usually formed because they are buried rapidly after they die?

If their main point was just history, I would agree. But, suck is not the case with scripture, in fact its many different forms of literature. Would you expect a book of poetry to be a history book?

First, scripture is enough for me, second the apologists website helps clear up any thing that I don't understand.

    Why is it enough?

That would come first from salvation.
Once the Holy Spirit has moved on you, scripture speaks to you.
But, in the beginning, I was very skeptical, so I sought clarification on the things I didn't understand. Once I researched and read, I came to the conclusion, that while scripture may contain elements of history, poetry, philosophy, and science, it not exclusively any of those.

Scripture even alludes to the point that "the cross is foolish to those that are perishing", it also says that " God made foolish the wisdom of the world", and " God blinds their eyes and hardens their hearts", so unbelief by the world is a natural thing.
