I think that was the best wildcard game ending I've ever seen, maybe because I just hate the Steelers.

I ain't gonna take a bunch of credit for picking the Broncos to beat the Steelers, 'cause in my view, I wasn't going all that out on a limb. Like I stated, the Steelers weren't some juggernaut, an unbeatable team or something. With their injuries, the game was pretty much a toss-up, IMO.
What I will take credit for, is realizing that the game is played on the field & not on paper. Which is what anybody who understands & watches sports should realize. Also, that in sports, no animal exists called a "sure thing". Vegas was built on the backs of losers, not winners.

America's team? The cheaters? I think not. Besides I'm not from Denver, I have no dog in the hunt other than New England has a history of cheating...

Gee, maybe, just maybe, your opinion of my pick of the Broncos over the Steelers was a bit idiotic.
But my picks of the Texans & Giants losing were surely idiotic. But ya go with yer gut & that's the way it goes. I've been reluctant to throw any emotional capital on the Giants the last few years, but I may be all in against the Packers next week.
And yes, I was all in on the Broncos beating the Steelers & Tebow playing that well, 'cause I was sure they & he could do it.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
Any football fan knows that they cheated...
but you and your fellow cheaters do have a nice day...

America's team the New England Patriots? that is amusing indeed
    I appreciate the laugh.

The Patriots, Americas Team? Now that's funny! I'm from N.E. (Ct.) & I hate there guts. I respect what they've done, but I can't stand 'em. Although they should beat the Broncos, all, and I do mean ALL the pressure will be on them. Denver is playing with house money.

So here are my early picks for next week, which I may change as the week progresses.

    Patriots over Broncos

The Broncos already proved me wrong once, but I think that had as much to do with me overrating Pittsburgh as it did underrating Denver. I should have know better as well, as I saw the Steelers get trounced by the 49ers a few weeks back, and was really impressed with the 49ers. I guess I should have realized it had more to do with the Steelers being old and injured.

I am once again picking a double digit blow out loss for Denver. Maybe I will be wrong again, but I fully expect New England to tear Denver apart just like they did a few weeks ago.

    Ravens over Texans

I don't love the Ravens, but I think they will do enough to make TJ Yates uncomfortable to come away with a win. I think it will be close, but Baltimore will win in the end.

    Saints over 49ers

As I mentioned before, I came away from the monday night game with the Steelers ready to pick the 49ers to win some playoff games. I think I was wrong. I think the 49ers ARE good, but not as good as they seemed against Pittsburgh, as Pitt was just much worse than I thought. As good as the 49ers defense is, I don't think anyone can stop the Saints, at best they can slow them down. And I don't think San Francisco's offense can keep up.

    Giants over Packers

I am really going out on a limb here, and I may chicken out and change this pick later, however I get the feeling that the Giants are going to beat the nearly unbeatable team in the playoffs once again. I think pass rush is the key to stopping a great QB, and the Giants pass rush is insanely good!! I think they will get to Rodgers a lot, and Eli will do just enough to pull off the upset.

    The spreads are out:
    Saints -3.5 over Niners
    Pats -13.5 over Broncos
    Ravens -7.5 over Texans
    Packers -8.5 over Giants

Ya, it was!! I should never have been so confident(arrogant). As we see all the time, pretty much any team in the NFL can beat any other team. Especially if they are a playoff team.

I would take the Saints and Patriots to cover, and I would take the Texans and the Giants.

Ya, I was thinking the same thing. Just when you though Tebow mania was going to end, he pulls a win out of his ass.

Cmon man, he had couple of good throws, on one particulary good day for him. He also missed a few easy ones and the majority of his "good" throws looked like drunk ducks, altho they hit their mark which of course is the most important thing. Dont get me wrong Im happy Tebows coming to my house. Alot of what allowed him make those throws successful was a Pitt D jumping routes and intent stopping the run....to which I credit the the Denver coaching staff for the play calls. If I have to bet on a coach vs coach matchup Ill take the Pats and if its QB vs QB then obviously Brady is the man.

Pats dispacthed with 'Tebow time' last time in Denver, Id expect nothing less this time around.

On a side note, some of the worse officiating Ive seen all season yesterday. How do you miss THREE rather blatant facemasks? One that totally spun the RB around?

I wouldn't be so quick to bet on the Saints...considering they have NEVER won a postseason game on the road. They're an arena football team, they simply cannot beat good teams outdoors.

The only game that really matters:

    Houston Texans-24
    Ravens-17

I think we can befuddle Joe Flacco enough to make him slip. You can't just run Rice 40 times a game. See you in the AFC Championship.

Why would you hate Tebow on a personal level?
    I doubt you know him.

Not to be nosy, but my guess it's sports hate, which doesn't seem to cloud his honest opinion of Tebow.

Hate is a pretty strong word for somebody you've never met, and is just a athlete, dont you think?

I think they'll get by the Giants this week and then it will be all downhill. I don't expect either the Pats or Saints to make it to the SB.

Like I said, it's just "sports hate". I have a lifetime of hate built up for the Celtics, Raiders & Yankees(I even have list that goes up to about 15, if you wanna see it). It's not personal. Many players on those franchises would be on my all time team, teams that I would want to go to war with. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale & Dennis Johnson come to mind.
