How do you know? :) Isn't the abdominal muscle structure non-gender-specific? My abs look like that (sorta) and my GF says that the gym makes hers look the same too.

I am not certain but on my super res screen I see some tell tale Photoshop retouching...

Look, in ads, you're never going to get "native photography"

GLad your abs look like that. I trained until a few years ago [66 now] and I never got that good..only ever 'saw' four of the six unflexed.

    damned hard to do.

Well, my gym teacher doesn't have it any more either. He says, that you have that when you are under 40 ... so since you are saying you have it at 66, then you must be VERY fit. I congratulate you.

    :)

Ask him why That happens to you a round the age of 40 ... The answer is pretty cool, and a reminder of how insignificant our desires are.

Sorry to mislead you. I had that four of six in my late 40's after years of hard word and I have the photo to prove it.

However, I have not seen any muscle there in over 10 years. In fact, after 60, I highly recommend never ever bending down for any reason.

I am not sure if I understand your point. I heard people saying that I shouldn't care if my GF or my own body looks good or not, but is life the same whether you obey or ignore your desires all the time?

In church, there is enough manipulation to push girls to have relationship/marriage with guys they don't desire. How is it fair to ask them to put aside their desires and to work around it by making them "learn" to appreciate something else? I don't understand the point. :confusion:

You didn't mislead me. I saw a guy here who seemed way beyond 40 and had his abs muscles. (I don't know if he is over 60 though.)
I am surprised and this sounds like a mystery.

Ah nah ... I just thought you might want a professional opinion (I mean who am I anyway ... And what would I know) ... On why people find it hard to loose abdominal weight after the age of 40.
There is a physiological reason ... And the desire part is only in reference to how impossible it is to fight mother nature when she decides to do her thing.

I just think it is cool how well tuned the human body is ... But also how hardwired it is to evolution and survival.

They may be unhealthy but realistically a person doesn't become morbidly obese just from 'eating a burger' every now and then - they have to take in more calories per day, every day - than they burn.

Meaning their just sitting on their asses stuffing their face with greasy fast food, and washing it down with several 100 calories of soda, all day, every day

If a guy at just one Big Mac a day, every day, even if that's all his diet consisted of, that'd only be getting in about 500-600 calories per day, and he'd look pretty much anorexic

Conversely if a guy ate 50-60 cans of green beans a day, that'd be in the 3000-4000 calories range, and he'd likely be obese

Some people seem to think that just putting a hamburger in your mouth is 'magically' going to make you fat, but it shows they don't know much if anything about nutrition or the science of weight gain

Are you kidding me? Most of people feed their kids Mcdonalds, or some other fast food every single day because they are too lazy and stupid to cook.

    No.

A kid doesn't require nearly as many calories as an adult to gain weight - if they fed their kids 3000 calories of green beans a day, they'd be just as obese.

Except it takes a lot less of mcdonalds to reach 3000 calories.

I just have a problem with the Wookie lecturing everyone else on healthy eating when she isn't exactly a Cosmo model herself. She's kind of a pork chop in her own right.

This really isn't about any fat acceptance movement. The liberal Democrats created a REAL fat acceptance movement when they signed food stamps into law.
This is about those of us in the fly over land telling Moochelle the WOOKIE to butt the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of our business. It's not like she's some lithe Victoria's Secret fashion model.

People pay property taxes to fund their children's schools, they should have the ultimate say in what their kids get served at school, not Michelle Obama. Allot of kids do have poor diets, but the ultimate responsibility lies with parents, not Washington DC.

We send a lunch with our kid, and we've always made an effort to try and get him too eat a better diet. See, that's was our choice, we didn't need the first lady's help.
