I'll vote for Trump if he runs again. Yes Cruz in the mid term.

No Republican ever has reduced the size of government.

Technically no Republican in history holds conservative values.

There are some terms that have just outlived their usefulness and don't really describe anything in today's world. Fascism is one, and RINO is another.

George Will is an exteme open borders fanatic. I heard him on a news show once saying that he thought everyone in Latin America should be given visas and allowed into the US. That's not a conservative position. Yeah he's libertarian.

True, I think the left doesn't like that Republican voters don't like the more left leaning Republicans.

They don't like that Republicans have views of their own.

this is the precise reason s for libertarian candidates.
I have a lot of overlap with libertarians but this issue is one that I don't

I'd watched him for years on TV too. He was a favorite on This Week when it was hosted by David Brinkley, but the venn diagram between conservatives and libertarians is enough that it never conflicted with a pithy line or two that he would throw out every week. There is a lot of material in castigating the welfare state or the size of government. Will could do that at least.

One of the worst meaningless words is democracy.

Some people use that word to describe anything they like.

George Orwell had this thought it's pretty interesting so this is nothing new.

I am not talking about who is in charge of the government. I am talking about who is in charge of the Republican Party. The government does not tell the Republican Party what the Republican Party stands for.

You seem to be doing a pretty good job of telling the Republican party what to do, which is amazing given the limited understanding you seem to have on it based on this thread. In any case, the people who won and are in charge should be the ones to offer the hand.

funny you based a thread on a fake word "MAGA".
"MAGA" is just a Donald Trump slogan and nothing more.
It isn't a new party (like you folks try to fake it to be)
It isn't a cult (like you folks try to fake it to be)
    Its a freakin SLOGAN

    get over it!

No, he did not. He's a real conservative. Trumpism is a set of Bonespurs' whims. Stupid whims.

I positive they don't know what any of those words mean.

All I see is one note - unmitigated hatred for everyone and everything that doesn't look, love and/or worship the way they do (with a side of denial that that agenda is anything but systemic bigotry).

That's a fact, and you will never see me make the mistake of referring to Leftists as "liberals".

"Progressives" have never changed, and they hated Reagan's anti-communist guts, just as they've hated every Republican who has stood between them and the only thing they care about - power.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose....

Reagan would be labeled a "RINO" today.

Not a chance. Reagan fully understood RINOs and despised most things they did and stood for (as they despised him).

Not really though. You can't do anything significant without a supermajority in the senate, and since Manchin isn't really a D, nobody really even has a majority. Need both chambers for control but senate matters more. So legislature is controlled by nobody really. President is democrat, but hampered by the senate. SCOTUS is heavily republican.

Seems like nobody is really in control.
