The story was originally sourced on the WSJ. However, it is behind a paywall so the second source is listed below the first and you'll be able to glean the general absurdity of it all by reviewing their 13 page study, no doubt devised in the house of horrors. Lol Americans, I mean citizens of the world, ;) will especially get a kick out of the liberty robbing woke's latest pearls of wisdom. No doubt the writers are longing for British rule, or were doing some wild and crazy drugging when coming up with this crazy-ass initiative.

    2) Introducing the Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative Website | IT Community (stanford.edu)

Kick back, have some laughs. Their backward Karen like exercise in controlling the unwashed masses is absolute fodder for our amusement. It's so sad, some of us will just have to consider the source by mocking them. Please join in the fun. I'm not sure how anyone could get on board with this woke stuff, but here's the thread, so have it, and tell us why you think the Stanford peeps have it right. All opinions welcome. :)

I'm at a loss for words - which is good, because anything and everything a person says is bound to offend somebody, apparently.

I thought Stanford was a prestigious college. When did the idiots take over?

The smart kids went to school there, and then some never grew up, and instead joined the clown world of liberal Academia.

    Yes.
You mind telling the brainiacs at Stanford your discovery?
How is the elimination of "harmful language" as defined by the fulltime elites of clowntown Academia going to help anyone?

I think the educators of today were already brainwashed when they went to college. Its roots go back to the fifties and fully bloomed in the sixties.

I know. It's pretty insane. I am inclined to believe it's a bunch of pompous very educated snobby elites who have never held real jobs out in the real world. Not unlike those who are government, i.e.. career politicians. Their entire livelihood is built around a premise rooted in a make believe idealogue. The way things should be but are not and never will be.:lol:

There use to be a time when words redefined found their way into dictionaries after they were widely used within the general communities. Today it's been usurp by the elitists forcing the redefinition on communities. If you don't agree with them you'll simply be labeled with some type of ism. The stigmatation of being labeled forces people into submission.

It won't, obviously. It will simply create even bigger narcissists.

When a society gets too well fed, this is the inevitable result. Consumed by bizarre and petty vanities.

It seems more like an effort to further divide us.

If you think this won't affect you at all, you're mistaken. You are actually the target of their redefining words.

Odd reaction by you considering I never said no one should discuss the topic. Seems you missed that I too mocked these people at Stanford. Seems my mocking was too much for you.

Will not affect me even a little bit. Odd you think some silly “guide” will affect anyone who believes it’s silly.

I missed where you mocked them. I read where you said you didn't give a **** about them. That's not the same as mocking them.

You live in a world where your words matter. People have lost jobs because of using words that are no longer acceptable in public places. Even if you say something on FB don't be surprised if your employer isn't monitoring you. Plus, if you have children this will affect their future and thus you.

Some people are under the delusion that they are the masters of word games, are they not?

I also said “what they think means jack schitt”. Not sure how you missed that. I also mocked them in post #13. Anywho, the bigger point is I haven’t exactly been all that flattering towards them now have I.

That too. Anything that can be done to break down cohesion, cooperation, and social responsibility.
