I know exactly what you said and I just taught you how to keep yourself safe by wearing a mask designed specifically to keep the individual safe in the world of no mask mandates from all virus and bacteria.

Now go about your life and stop trying to demand others do things they do not need nor want to do.

    You keep YOU safe.

    :)

You didn’t establish anything. No link, no proof. To say nothing of the fact that’s not what I said either. Masks can be good enough.

Go research it yourself. "hey google"!

The mask uses an n95 grade filter with a fan to create airflow, prevent fogging. But the design alone is enough to prove to anyone who doubts it's effectiveness as it prevents the user from touching and infecting their faces. it prevents the user from allowing particles from a sneeze or a cough to escape the mask to get airborne.

There is no seal that gets compromised around the face or cheeks. The mask can't slip past the nose. You won't be removing it to have smoke. It's on. It stays on. And the seal is around the torso/shoulders. Not the face. The particle would have to get in through the seal, get through your clothes and then into the mask and inhaled before the ventilation sends it back through the filter at the back.

There is absolutely no scientific doubt that this mask is beyond any N95 mask. Does it work? Yes. Will you wear it? No. So I reject your fear of covid.

    You have no links…

and again, where are you trying to go with this? Because it sounds like you’re trying to say that we need to use the best to confront COVID. But that’s not establishing a reasonable limit. An N95 mask is enough. But only if other people are wearing it. And that makes more sense as a cost effective solution.

No I'm saying if YOU...yes YOU Krane are scared of covid after the mask mandates are lifted, then you can rest assured and buy one of these and keep yourself safe. You don't need ME to keep you safe from life.

Or hey! if you don't buy the mask then i guess you are really not that worried...

At the surface, your logic seems sound. The issue, though, is that surface level thinking gets you nowhere. There’s a reason The Gilded Age got its name.

Your risk/reward analogy is deeply flawed. This is where deeper thinking is required.

Democrats, one of the two major, contemporary political parties in the United States.

Imagine that, members of a political party turning everything political!

But that’s not how it works. Or how it will spread. Because family and other places when it won’t be on. And then, once again you haven’t established why it’s a better and more cost effective option.

I've had it. I don't care if I get it again. If I get it, oh well!

You don't want to get it? Wear the mask.

We should have done this from the beginning.

Until you die from the disease of course. Or get permantly disabled. That’s not how collective public health works. You can’t privatize this problem. It won’t work unless everyone is wearing it. You have to establish why it’s a better option. The N95 mask works just fine. So why more than that if it’s a better and more cost effective option?

Yeah, it's your right to not wear a mask.

I wrote the following in another thread but thought it appropriate here:

I choose to wear a mask every time I leave home and have done so since March of 2020. I do it for my brothers and sisters in arms and I do it for my fellow citizens.

I spent over 30 years in the US military. I wore the uniform they told me to wear. I wore the protective equipment they told me to wear. I went where they told me, when they told me. I got the vaccines they told me to get. I took the drugs they told me to take. I was in leadership rolls all but three of my years of service so I do have the ability to lead and think for myself. I didn't just do what I was told to do, I also chose to do it. I chose it because it was the right thing to do for my brothers and sisters in arms and my fellow citizens!

I spent those years in uniform because I felt it was the right thing to do for my country. I also feel wearing a mask is the right thing to do.

I also spent those years in uniform to protect everyone's rights. If you choose not to wear a mask that is your right. I don't agree with your decision but I would defend to my death your right to choose.

I mean, ya life's a risk. I could die from drowning, cancer, choking, heart attack, falling, car accident, plane accident, train accident, shot, knifed, beaten, piano could land on my head, asteroid, gas inhalation, poisoned, nuked...yadda yadda.

I chose to live life free. And I demand to enjoy it without wearing a ****ing mask.

In the middle of a pandemic that is killing thousands every day? That just sounds like you want to die.

It’s because you only do surface level thinking. Deep thinking is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Again. I've had it. I got over it in 4 days and it was mild. I am not at risk of covid. I do not need to concern myself if i get it again.

I said that your surface concept was fine, but the moment you delve into the nuance, your idea is a truly terrible idea.

    1) The Gov't admits the data is flawed so .. no sense to be made from what you are saying - other than making up stories and putting into the mouths of others . aka - Strawman fallacy .. I said "The Data is flawed" .. not .. The Gov't is lying

    2) your claim .. not for me to go on wild goose chase to help you support it .. what is your claim anyway 2500 deaths a day

    3) Numbers .. not hot air .. Omicron Deaths .. certified .. not delta .. which . .while not dominant .. was killing all the folks dying for quite some time during the transition which comprised a good portion of the wave.

but can't answer this question without numbers .. so .. how many deaths are we talking from "OMICRON" on an annualized basis .. and what percent infected.

Those are the two numbers you need .. to enter into the contest ... u understand ? .. Big Boy's room ... some of us are Scientists .. subject matter experts .. and so on .. and prepare to be roasted .. buddy ol pal :)

I love Priceless Posts .. and this is one of them .. saw this number in previously - or in a different thread .. probably just cut and paste a number you saw on your part.

But speaking of "Rocket Science" 2500 a day "Omicron" .thats wow over 900,000 on an annualized basis .. double the current rate of death thus far from Covid. and further .. you are claiming this on a per person basis . = factoring in % infected .. which makes the number even more inane..

but yes .. do come up with a source .. so we can have a good chuckle and move on towards your schooling in "The Science"

Same here .. was a week to get rid of it fully .. but was very mild .. had way worse flue's.. caught just after the new year .. a number of others got it .. not vaxed .. all mild .. the double vaxed Super-Spreader that gave it to us had the worst of it .. :) Omicron has mutated its way into a mild flue .. as viruses are won't to do .. super contageous which means we will hit herd immunity very quickly .. Omicron will have been our saviour .. like its Transformer name .. Kicking out Decepticon Delta .. and bringing herd immunity.

Now we just have to cope with all the nasty side effects from the Vax .. far worst than the disease that garbage .. cept for those who are immune compromized .. can't make their own anti-bodies so the short term nitro boost will help them ..

Other than that .. a spectacular failure ..
