Also New Jersey, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, California, Mass, and everyone else is just a week or two behind.

Have you even looked at the data?

You're absolutely right. It is easy to find. That doesn't make it my responsibility to provide that info, nor does that make it yours. That's the job of the OP.

No, I am saying I amended the post after you read it. But the source is there.

What is factually wrong about the post?

Did you include sources about what the democrats are saying? Be specific and cite your sources.

Why not just let the left destroy Trump then? Accept that and work together with the "left" to get rid of the virus?

The poster is saying that you jumped the gun. Now that it's settled feel free to comment on the actual contents of the OP.

The epicenter label is misleading because last week it was Italy which has a vastly smaller population than the United states and so their ratio of infected was off the charts. Since the United States has a vastly larger population the ratio of infected is very . . . very . . . low.

Any "slowing" can be attributed to the continuing shortage of test kits just as easily as any actual slowdown of the increase of in the virus!

Lol, truly, Trumpies are trying to claim the reduction of acceleration of the increase of is their feeling of Trump's "success".

    Pathetic.

I didn't jump the gun, I did exactly what I am supposed to do when arguing. We look at the facts first. The OP didn't include any. Heck, to my knowledge I'm still waiting on the claim about the US being the epicenter. Now don't get me wrong, you're right. You can't look at whole numbers and infer from that because of population density. You have to look at the per capita number. If this is the case then we have to look at why the "democrats" are calling this the epicenter. Is it because there aren't enough tests and so our numbers are artificially low, or maybe it's because of some other issues. We don't know that because we lack the context for the quote and reasons to dismiss it.

The best that you can argue is that America is one of the top two epicenters for the virus.

On a per capita, per millions of population, basis, the US is around 500 and the entirety of the EU is around 715. The US is catching up slowly to the EU, but their rates of infection right now are roughly the same.

    upload_2020-3-31_14-54-57.png

Note: This is my own chart and I only started tracking the data for the entire EU about 5 days ago (hence the oddly shaped line). When I say catching up, the US has added roughly 18 more cases per millions of population over the course of those five days. At that rate, the US will reach parity with the EU in about two months.

Over the last two days though, the US has outpaced the EU by roughly 21. At that rate, the US will reach parity with the EU in about 10 days.

I attribute it to the stay-at-home order issued by my Governor.

Cool! What program did you use that make the chart in?

Which means Trump is not doing any worse than anybody else in the industrialized world. But such an observation doesn't help the Democrats.

As someone pointed out, we won't be able to judge until the pandemic is over. But that doesn't help the Democrats either.

If you want to trot out that the US is doing just as poorly as the EU as your reason for defending Trump, go for it.

Yes. The urban areas are in trouble. What the data doesn't indicate is that the rural areas are even close to catching up.

The slope of the curve is the infection rate. The US leads the pack

Thank you. That is exactly what I am doing.

Democrats want to paint Trump as uniquely incompetent. The truth is that he is just as incompetent as anybody else, and the corona virus response is no reason to get rid of him.

If you want to use corona virus deaths as a measure of incompetence than you should be painting Cuomo as the most incompetent governor of these United States.

The Source is the OP's link(problem for the op is that the situation is fluid and will change(IE: Get worse). But the OP has a general point: We aren't the worst situation...yet.

Frankly, if we're able to keep a 1.98% death rate, that would be great. Other developed nations seem to be between 1-4%. While no one would want to die, keeping the death rate low should be our top priority right now as well as aiding recovery.

The UK and Austria or Belgium looks just as bad if not worse. Anyway the rate of increase is decreasing for just about all of the charts.

If this is so, the rate of infection decreases rather quickly and the US is likely to end up with a fairly respectable deaths per million compared with the other industrialized nations.

That's easy to do. I loved how he was like "You're all going to be as bad as I am." No, Cuomo, if everyone is as bad as NY that would be a tragedy for the whole United States. I firmly believe the opposite.

Check the post times. How could I have posted 2 minutes before the OP? Now you're not wrong, it's a serious issue, and we need context for figuring out why people would say the US is the epicenter now.

It's time for Trump to prove his claim that he is the Messiah by walking on water and crushing the coronovirus like a cockroach with his hand.
