I think it's important Iolo not to lose sight of the fact that there are many jewish Israelis who do not accede to the inhumane, and muderous policies of successive Israeli Governments. Not all settlers, or jewish Israelies can be construed as Nazi's; many are very naive in their thinking, rather than depraved; such mindsets have been successfully created by religious coercive persuasion.

Such people cannot be individually blamed; nor can US and UK citizens for the actions of their sequential psychopathic governments in their unstinting, but irrational support for a dangerous hostile force.

As individuals most of us are powerless; and even when large numbers of thinking people have taken to the streets in protest it has achieved absolutely nothing.

As a recent newcomer to this board, I can understand why I departed six years or so ago.
There appears to be a preponderance of posters who are churning out Israel and/or Jew hatred from their hidey holes ala Ted Kaczynski.
That being said, this is still a slightly better thread than most in terms of information.
However - the problem with Mr. Plaut's "solution" is that it has no precedent except in "apartheid" or countries with extreme dictatorships. The American Indian reservation idea is great however - ALL American Indians are also American citizens and they can so choose to live off the reservation.
It would be preferable to demand and enforce loyalty oaths to the Jewish State of Israel by the Arabs called Palestinians living within the Israeli territories. If Israel would have promoted economic growth; stability; and self government from 1967 onward, I suspect that the Arabs called Palestinians would have repudiated their Death Cult brothers and either become Israelis or been satisfied with the special privileges afforded to them on their "reservations."
Unfortunately, today, the only solution for Israel would be to institute strict enforcement of the education of the Arab youth (which could be a curriculum set up by a third party) that banned the inherent violence and resentment that the Arabs insist on foisting upon their children. That, and continuing the present economic incentives for stability and growth in the territories.

 

As a Patriot I disagree... I am for TRANSFER of NON Israeli Arabs to the surrounding Arab countries especially those that followed in the Wake of the Jordanian Army led by British Officers in 1947/48 and today still holding passports and IDs of the Jordanian Kingdom (In my estimation they are approximately one million) and they are squatting on Israeli Government Land with impunity figuring time will heal they illegal occupation of the 'Land of Israel'...

 

The problem is that this will never happen.
It is always nice to dream that "if only" something like what you describe would happen, then there would be "peace" or, at least, less danger.
But, that's not the case.
Education and economic incentives to become Israelis and "get off the rez" would be practical solutions.
The fact is that there are, indeed, over a million; 2 million? Arab Israeli citizens who do not present any danger to the Jewish State of Israel.
Jews may complain that they are not exactly "loyal" but, Americans complain about that exact same conflict of loyalties regarding the "other" Party - be it Democrats or Republicans.
Education and economic incentives (read jobs and the opportunity to create business) are the most significant factors.
China is a good example of this. A minority of the population that were formerly ignorant Communist peasants run by an isolationist government - are now the production capital of the world and, many of them have become extremely wealthy doing so.
(Admittedly, this is but a minority and, when their economy falters, the whole system will collapse but, Israel does not have to deal with hundreds of millions of Arabs called Palestinians.)
