I'm pretty sure God doesn't take orders from you. God's will is carried out by those of us here on earth and has created us with free will. So are you going to care for those starving children according to God's will or not? Sounds like you are the kind of man who accepts no personal responsibilities, expecting everything to be done for you and doing nothing yourself.
Satan has been very successful at hiding behind disbelief. Those who don't believe in God, naturally won't believe an adversary of God exists also. The puzzling thing is many believers in God don't believe Satan exists, even though he's mentioned as being the "god of this world" and as such he has power over it. Of course, God can intervene to help us conquer him whenever he attacks us. 1 John 4:4
Next you'll say Christians eat bread because they borrowed it from the "Pagans". Seems like you are just unsuccessfully trying to demean. Well, the OP just stated over four thousand were baptized because it means something to them!
Share with us what you have found that is so worth believing in. That gives you any sign of hope. Please.
Starving children gives you and others a chance to step up and love them. What are you doing besides blaming and hating God?
God wants us to be "childlike" and come to Him....but that does not mean stamping your feet, turning your back on Him, and crying like a baby because you don't get your way.
When you see a starving kid on the street it is an opportunity to show the kid you care about them. All you got to do to show it is to hand that kid a sandwich. Now who loves the kid more? You that gave the kid a sandwich, or the government that picked your pocket and used the money to feed the kid an EBT food voucher card?
So that whole god's plan thing is crap. Okay. Your side is so confused, can't even get your story straight. "Sounds like you are the kind of man who accepts no personal responsibilities" Sounds like you're the kind that can't give up for your fairytales.
Ah yes, a "perfect" man who god supposedly put the livelihood of on the line with a bet with that other manmade creation known as Satan. What a sweet lil god....... The tales man can come up with......
God can't even protect children in his own house, Preacher molesting Children, not the sign of an all-knowing, all powerful God
Or in the schools, restaurants, malls, stores or anywhere else. "Take god with you everywhere you go". Yea, how does that work out? God is angry, so he sends all these killer storms. But at the same time he doesn't send the storms, he's in the peace and charity afterwards. What god does or doesn't do depends on who's telling the story. All these shootings are "evil", but when we give the needle to a murderer, that's justice. It all depends on what mankind decides to label it. Mankind makes the rules. That's where "good" and "bad" comes from. This pastor has one story and the one across town has a different story. And some want to force this bullsh** in public schools.
the Bible does not describe a perfect God though, so what God are you referring too? Would a perfect God, go by the name "Jealous" the Bible describes a "jealous" God https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+34:14&version=KJV " Exodus 34:14 King James Version (KJV) 14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: "
A preacher is a human man or women, not God, We are all sinners, preachers and lay people every one. A church is not a social club for saints, it's a hospital for sinners. When you enter a church you will find a sanctuary filled with sinners working to make themselves right with God. Everyone on earth is a sinner and frequently we fall short,
Of course he is perfect in all aspects of his character. Being jealous doesn't signify imperfection, but that he is real, and that his children matter to him. Fwiw, his perfection is stipulated in the Bible by Jesus Christ who said: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48
Here, here. I don't understand why people feel driven to take cheap shots at God, picking at the failures and ignoring the multitude of successes.
They don't understand Christianity. Many will eventually be in dispair and reach out to Christ, others will go to their graves never understanding. God has given us free will and He won't force Himself on those who refuse to believe.
