And the hatred and resentment toward Russians has been playing out before our eyes since 2014. The Azov battalion (Nazis), and others, have been killing ethnic Russians by the thousands in Donbas. The Russian language was banned in many of these areas. And since 2022, Russian conductors can't conduct, Russian books are being removed from schools, etc.. Western society turned on ordinary Russian citizens on a dime, not vice-versa.

It's obvious to any rational person that pushing NATO (and the weapons deployments that come with NATO status) to Russia's doorstep has had major consequences for the globe. We shouldn't have done that.
