I think they are highly correlated. I see gender as feminine and masculine. For most people being born male means they take the masculine gender, but some feel feminine and like to take on feminine roles.

 

No, men cannot physically be women. But men can make themselves appear mostly like women and take on the feminine role.

 

I don't think we have to assign by biological sex for everything, only when it makes logical sense, like sports.

 

Some where there's a group of over educated people thinking this was progress.

I am fine with trans people using the bathrooms of the sex they appear the most like. I don't think the law should have anything to do with who uses what bathrooms. However with sports, the physical element is very important to the outcome of the sport, so we need to divide on physical sex.

 

So you think people who are different are freaks. You might have been just charming in high school.

 

Wake up call: Being a freak IS being different. This is a fraction of a fraction of society, so yes, it is different. Some times we protect the different from society, in other instances we protect them from themselves.

 

There's really a simple solution to this and that is invent an entire new class of sex for sports called Transgendered. Biological Women compete against biological Women, Biological Men compete against biological Men and Sex Trannies compete against Sex Trannies. If there's interest, they can have their own MMA league, Wrestling league, Tennis and any other sport that Transgendered want to compete against other Transgendered. Sometimes I'm so smart, I surprise myself.

I think calling someone a freak is attempting to insult them. I only support insulting people if they have actually done something wrong.

 

To them it is wrong for them even to exist. Their fragile minds can't handle the idea of something different from what they perceive is normal.

If they want to force me, under threat of law, to agree with them, then I do have a problem with that.

There really is a simple solution to all this:

If you test above a certain testosterone level, you can't compete in female sports.

Imagine if a female took steroids and tested positive.....what would happen? So why should we allow people with elevated testosterone levels to compete when in certain circumstances, it's already not allowed?

 

They’ve been castrated, knee cap them next—then they can identify with the handicapped as well, and then the contest will be fair.

 

That. And no fair being involved in any of the girls sports programs.

 

My response to these stupid stories will always be the same - you don't hear about the instances where transgender athletes do not win, which are undoubtedly far more numerous, and there is no evidence that the transgender athletes enjoy a natural advantage. Hormonal treatments lead to corresponding changes in muscle mass that make them physically comparable to CIS gender, or whatever the term is for those who are not transgendered.

This is just more unreasonable bigoted hatred being directed at a selected target group for no good reason, and only serves the agenda of causing unnecessary disruption to our peaceful society.

 

I think that depends on which criteria you're looking at. Strength-wise, with hormonal treatments, men can indeed become women, and vice versa.
