It's high time Sessions got off his backside, fired Rosenstein and got after Sanctuary City and States. They flaunt Federal Immigration law. We all remember this.........

"Obama has warned that the Arizona law could lead to a patchwork of different laws passed by the various U.S. states"

Does he mean like sanctuary laws? We don't need immigration reform, we need enforcement reform. There are already more than enough immigration laws on the books, we just need to enforce 'em. Go after sanctuary cities and states with a vengeance, suspending all Federal Government payments to those states until the lawsuits resolved. That alone would ensure the states aren't suing simply to tie up laws they don't like but are duty bound to enforce.

That’s how prosecutions should work. A head of state with no legal background should call for people to be arrested.
Republicans have lost their ****ing minds

There’s a HUGE difference between suing and trying to arrest govt officials! Obama didn’t have Jan Brewer arrested!

He's asking somebody under his supervision to consider doing their job.

    Where exactly is the problem?

He didn’t call for her to just be randomly arrested. He said she should be charged for the crime she committed. Jesus the TDS in this country is getting old.

    Sessions will not comply

He appears to be a blackmail victim of the Deep State

I dont know what horrible secret about himself the government-within-a-government has over him

But it must be pretty bad

She could say that she has ancestors from Russia and Jeff Sessions won’t come near her.

So - this administration takes one more step away from the independence of the DOJ - something that every White House for decades has respected - and you revel in that giant leap backwards.

    To be expected from Trumpsters.

Don't you think you're being a little bit ridiculous too with a comment like that?

The left wing bestowed this "independence" on the DOJ as a matter of convenience. The DOJ is not the 4th branch of government, it is a division of the Administrative branch. Presidents don't typically micro-manage the DOJ, but that doesn't imply that he's prohibited from DIRECTING the DOJ to aggressively prosecute person(s) that he, as the nations top law enforcement official, suspects of criminal conduct. Obama spent so much time trying to distance himself from DOJ scandals that it's led Dems believe the POTUS isn't in charge of, and ultimately responsible for, the US DOJ. Wrong!

Never thought I’d see the day when human rights advocates as the Oakland mayor could possibly face prosecution. This is America, not Russia. Your response to this piece couldn’t be less accurate. Those immigration laws on the books need to be revised, with the system revised, slashing more than half the wait and process to gain citizenship in this country. We need to understand why these people are fleeing these countries the way they are. It’s easier to gain citizenship to the UK than it is the US. Pathetic really. Trump seems to forget that America has a humanitarian obligation it has to serve.

If Sessions isn't gonna do his job then he needs to be replaced by someone who will.

What ever happened to 'the law is the law?" The left wanted a city clerk locked up when she didn't issue marriage licenses because the law is the law. Also, what humanitarian obligation? We have millions of people in this country illegally who aren't being deported, mostly just the criminals. We also dole out billions in foreign aid as a humanitarian obligation. And we do know why people are fleeing their countries and it's because they're shitholes. And when those fleeing their country come here what is the first thing they do? They try to turn America into the shithole they came from. Tell me, how many upscale illegal alien or refugee communities are there in this country that you can name? And regarding citizenship, why do these people want to become American citizens while maintaining their allegiance to their home countries and not assimilating into the country who is giving them a better life than the country they fled? If these people really wanted to be Americans and really wanted to assimilate then we wouldn't need to Push 1 to continue in English.

You would think there's nothing wrong with it, but if Sessions goes after someone because Trump told him to then that person's defense will be the only reason for the prosecution was presidential pressure. Trump needs to do these things in private like Obama most certainly did.

Kim Davis was a example of.a Christian fanatic, and demonstrated what it means to fail to serve your duties in public office. The “law is the law” does not protect the law from being subject to change sooner or later. Puerto Rico was still in ruins, didn’t have electricity in some cases after we sent aid, which we could have done more of.

You seem to assume all immigrants are trying to turn America into a shithole as a whole. Using that logic, did Irish immigrants try turning America into Ireland and did German immigrants try turning America into Germany? Or Japanese immigrants? That assertion can go both ways.

Simply because you gain American citizenship doesn’t mean you have to forfeit alligemce to your home country. America is not a country club or a clique. There is no mass assimilation on behalf of one person or family that has to be done in order to live here. That’s what makes this country great, and separate from countries like Saudi Arabia.
