Trump confuses Nancy Pelosi with Nikki Haley when discussing Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol

Trump has never been a particularly smart person but it seems that in his clear mental health decline he is having trouble couple his stories straight.

Improbably, whilst spouting nonsensical conspiracy theory, he seemed to think that Nikki Haley was the speaker of the house during the MAGA coup attempt.

I am not sure Trump was ever fit to be president, but this seems to be sheer madness on his part.

Cue whataboutism.

Former President Donald Trump appeared to confuse former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., with former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley at a rally in New Hampshire Friday when talking about the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack.

Trump has repeatedly made false claims that Pelosi rejected his request to deploy 10,000 National Guard troops ahead of Jan. 6, 2021.

The name mixup came as Trump was criticizing Haley, the former ambassador to the United Nations, who’s cutting into the former president’s lead in New Hampshire.

“Nikki Haley, you know they, do you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it. All of it because of lots of things like Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard, whatever they want. They turned it down. They don’t want to talk about that. These are very dishonest people,” Trump said.

 

I guess they kind of look alike and both behave like snakes, so i can see how one would make that error.

 

He has shown evidence of incoherence for some time. Hie has confused ?? people before and it seems to be more obvious now.this might be why he sticks to repeating the same slogans . They are his comfort zone of speaking. When he ventures into new territory he fumbles ......which means that his level of conceptualizing is limited.as is his intelligence. He might be "cunning" but he is not intelligent.
Not sure he is even aware of his difficulties as his knee jerk response to any feedback is denial. (and anger and projection)

 

Trump's mental state make him a clear and present danger to the United States.

 

People on the campaign trail often repeat the same things over and over again, the only reason we notice is because everything is on TV these days. When McCain did it it drove me nuts.

With the amount of talking Trump does these days, what percentage of speaking mishaps do you think he has compared to the other guy who rarely speaks and can't go more than a few sentences without a flub?

 

That seems more than a “flub”.

 

Its the next tactic they are using to attack Trump since nothing else is working. This will dissappear quickly too as no one on the left wants to compare the two candidates mental ability. Go look at cnn front page and you see why we are seeing these claims pop up here.

 

This is why several analysts believe we are going to see a shift in voter sentiment between trump and Biden. Most people don’t want either of them and are holding out hope one or both of them are replaced.

When people start seeing who their options are and trump starts getting large tv presence it won’t take long for people to remember. And trump will not be able to contain himself.

 

I don't know how old your are, but have you ever once in a while misspoke? I have. Not as often as the other guy, but I'll admit that I have.

I am 55. I misspeak constantly. However, I am not running for president, incapable of distinguishing to very distinct, prominent people totally unrelated to each other in any context.

 

Its more than a flub. Its just another example of Trump not being there mentally. His delusions are getting worse.

You are exaggerating to say Biden can’t speak a sentence but we both know that. Biden is old and dumb and a little senile. Trump has always been dumb even before he was senile.
