This is a well known technique in hypnosis and NLP circles. It is known as the arm pull or hand drop technique. If it is done well it causes the recipient to go into an off balance state called a startle response. In hypnosis this is used as an instant induction and it momentarily opens the client to a state of high suggestibility. The conscious mind is busy trying to figure out what is going on, the body is trying to regain balance, and this opens the unconscious mind to suggestion. If you see demonstrations of this technique on “youtube” you will notice that the next thing that the practitioner says is “sleep” and again if it is done well that person will close their eyes and go into a hypnotic state. That would be too obvious for Trump or anyone else in the public eye to do but it can also be used in other ways. Instead of saying “sleep” I can think of several things Trump could say such as “friend” or “loser.” Or he could just smile which would send a message to the other person that he is a friend. Remember this is going directly into the unconscious mind without the person’s natural filters being up. Another utilization of this technique is darker. If it is not being used on purpose as above, then it can also be a naturally learned bullying technique. You can observe bullies on the playground using the arm pull to bring someone to the ground. They fain friendship by putting out their hand and the other child reaches out to shake and the bully grabs their arm and pulls them to the ground. This off balancing of the opponent builds in a state of superiority that puts the bully in the dominant position. Hand or shoulder patting serves similar purposes. Something else I have noticed Trump doing is shaking hands in such a way that it puts the other persons hand in an awkward and perhaps even painful position (watch Trump and Abe). This is another well-known bullying technique. I have no idea if this is intentional on Trump’s part or not, let’s all keep watching.

 

If you don't do the job right, you might not get paid. There are plenty of disgruntled employees, and there are plenty of happy employees. I can find grumblers with any employer. Trump has done a lot of good things. One of the best things he's done is not being a career politician. He never stole billions from Medicare paid into by working people to fund his healthcare boondoggle like Obama and Democrats did. I can give you numerous examples of real corruption by Democrats over the years, but why bother.
