Does he ever learn from his mistakes? How not to win friends and influence enemies....
BIG mistake going after Gov. Glenn Youngkin and mocking his last name. How vindictive can he get?

Can you give some recent examples of the above? I'm not seeing that, tbh.

I'm convinced that he truly believes he is the most important person in the Universe. I know in the past he has used comedy to razz his political opponents. Both sides do it to be clear, but for him to expect every GOP politician to bow down to him because he feels entitled to lead the country is insane.

I really like Youngkin. Nobody OWES Trump anything. He needs to get over himself with this need for eternal loyalty.

Oh! Promising to grant pardons to the more violent January 6 idiots.

And he is a known Narcissist

And that is the problem - narcissists often do well in the short term because they are so confident that they come across as competent and that has people believing in them.

I hope he ratchets up his persistent temper tantrum. It will drive him out of popularity faster than anything else.

I agree. Look at Joe Biden. It's not working for him anymore either as the POTUS.
Getting back to the topic. I don't think making fun of Youngkin's or DeSantis's last names will win him any favors.

It is a slow drip of losses in his base but I think this latest will accelerate it. I remember when George was President. For a long while there he could do no wrong. Then along came Trump and it was not only “President who?” But “Bush? Never liked him never voted for him - worst President ever”

Trump won over the rubes by being a boorish fool but it's wearing a little thin now. He needs to get out and let the adults in the room take over what's left of the Republican party.

I have seen similar melt downs of political parties over the years. And sometimes it takes years to rebuild once this level of self destruction has occurred

One of the biggest indicatirs of GOP dysfunction was not Trump but the lack of a platform and definitive plans

And a long similar lines... It seems very difficult to find any Hillary voters nowadays.... Only even more so

If he can't elevate himself with great ideas, he has no problem trying to lower others.
He won't stop, it's his personality, and it might be his major source of income right now. He has a lot of legal trouble in the near future to pay lawyers for.

Okay but let's recognize this wasn't a total repudiation of the Republican party. Days after the election we're still waiting slow vote counting states Arizona and Nevada to tell us who won. I call that a pretty close election.

    Haha so true.

Hillary was going to be the first woman president, she could do no wrong. Now people pretend they were ever only going to vote for her reluctantly lol. Not a Hillary supporter around.

Yes but it SHOULD have been a landslide. Without a platform the party itself is rudderless. I was hearing talk this morning about who should replace Kevin as speaker

It only should have been a landslide because of how poor Dems are performing for the American people. But nothing is ever a landslide anymore, especially with Dems controlling so much of our cultural influencers.

If he runs, then people should absolutely vote for him. Especially considering the attacks on him are for issues more prevalent on the left. But anyone would be better than Dems right now.

With rampant inflation hitting people who have to feed and house themselves it should have been a landslide for the Republicans. What's wrong with people that they would keep voting for the same big spending Democrat politicians expecting a different result?

Because the Dems have actually DONE things as opposed to creating fake monsters and scaremongering. Where was the Republican plan to address the economy

How anyone could be surprised by Trump's behavior is mindboggling.
He's throwing a textbook display of narcissistic rage.

Besides coming off as childish and weak minded, saying this **** at this time just makes him look scared of potential competition.

Trump may be showing signs of being senile as is clearly the case with Old White Joe Biden. The lesson learned - the demanding job of US President is not appropriate work for the elderly.
