You are pissy because Trump routinely violated the law in New York, got caught, was convicted, and is being punished.

Trump worshipers parrot his whining about American democracy and the justice system.

I'm seeing a problem, an ethical one in our justice system. If this were a criminal court case, this 353 million price tag would come into the Sixth Amendment(cruel and unusual punishments), because one can't say he inflated their value and say 'Oh, well pay 353 million dollars'. Which one is it? Either he inflated its value(and its worth less), or he didn't inflate it and so they came to such a value.

So the 353 million isn't an actual fair number, much like the defamation case before it and to quote Geither "We just wanted a really, really big number". That's really what this boils down to. And they can do that, because it's a civil case so the 6th amendment doesn't apply.

To me, that's unethical. Civil case law should follow the same constitutional requirements as criminal case law. You shouldn't be able to apply some super big tag because you feel you can.

It is unbelievable what they are doing. Totally unethical. But I guess they have to get rid of the bad man.

Don't worry about it. He has millions of suckers who have already donated to help him pay the penalty, even if they don't know it yet.

    TRUMP FINED $364 MILLION.

    IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH!

A $100 bill is about 0.0043 inches thick. So, $364 million in $100 bills would be approximately 156,520 inches thick, which is about 2.46 miles or 3.96 kilometers.

In terms of volume, if you stacked these $100 bills X 364 times perfectly, they would take up about 14,560 cubic feet or 412 cubic meters. That’s roughly equivalent to the volume of a room that’s about 24.4 feet (or 7.44 meters) in length, width, and height.

Here is a stack of ONLY $1 million in $100 bills. :(

More banana republic actions from fascists.

That being said, despite this considerable sum being irrationally taken from him due to his politics. He will be fine.

"Ruined" is quite the hyperbolic nonsense lmao.

Breaking: President Trump becomes first man fined by a court for paying back loans on time with interest to banks that want to do more business with him.

Gullible…?? How much have you and your pals contributed to The Stain’s coffers this month…?

Correct. And if you read the quote I gave from the Deutsche Bank official, you’ll see that they did give some of his valuations a “haircut”…but they were still well outside normal valuations.

The word is “biased”. And don’t bet on it. Successful appeals in these types of cases are uncommon…

Some men wouldn't complain if someone murdered their wife. Doesn't make it okay. Doesn't make it no longer illegal. ;)

In that article it looks like that was what Trump's lawyers were arguing. I can find no other articles about his trial where bank employees testified that they longed for his business.

Why do you think he did it? If it was not to get access to loans or interest rates that showing them the real numbers would not have gotten him why would he bother to inflate the number on financial statements. Is it solely for bragging rights but then I see no reason to fake the number on the statements too. Why not just boast to his friends and say whatever he wants? It is not like he is pulling out statements to support his lie to them. Why would certified accountants and controllers be willing to facilitate the fraud just so Trump can tell whoopers?

    Fraud is the crime.

Do you disagree that he committed fraud here?
    Because they showed it occurred

Or are you saying that committing fraud is fine as long as no one is injured?

That isn’t accurate. These statutes have existed for a while now.

If the USSC rules that Biden is king maybe you will get your wish

You can seek to have a private assessment done and then contest the appraisal.

When an applicant lies to a bank to secure better rates, approval odds or amount — that’s fraud.

    It’s really not that complex.

The trump family has had several businesses and a school shut down for fraud. They cannot participate in charitable organizations due to prior fraud.

    This isn’t his first rodeo

So it’s ok to defraud banks because they should catch you? Wild logic.

Anks competed for the loan. They knew the value of the properties and set the interest rate accordingly. No bank was defrauded. This is clear case of corruption which is no stranger in the New York Justice system.

There is no fraud. Banks competed for the loan. They knew the value of the properties used as collateral.
