Where is the testimony of Deutsche Bank? Didn’t the prosecution call them as a witness? DB competed for and won the loan contract by offering the best terms. All competing banks knew what the properties were worth. They have personnel who are paid to do these assessments.

Yeah. gullible as in falling for the same ole leftist fake media claims over and over.
    Like your 14th amendment claims.
Over and over and over and over

Judges who refuse to allow witness for the defense,
who have no damages to base fines on,
    and ignore statute of limitations
always get their rulings turned over.
This will be turned over as well. Just like the idiotic Colorado justices out of context garbage 14th claim.

No banks were defrauded. They competed for the loan. They knew value of the properties in their evaluation.

I didn't follow this case closely at all but from what I have read he was found guilty of committing fraud by misrepresenting his financial position on his financial statements. All I am asking you is why would he do it if not for financial gain? I gave the example of people boasting and over exaggerating their wealth BUT it is one thing to talk and brag and another to misrepresent the information on corporate financial statements. Why do you think he did that? Did he try it was all an accounting error argument? Was that defense debunked in court? I really don't know because I didn't watch the case at all. You appeared to know so I am asking you. What was Trump's reason for doing this?

The banks who competed for the loan knew what the properties were worth. DB entered into a loan contract with eyes wide open. DB could have disputed the Trump valuation and maybe there was a negotiation? They agreed with the Trump evaluation and entered into a loan contract with the properties as collateral. Who made the lower estimate of the worth of the properties, why did the prosecution use that estimate, and why does the court not give credence to the judgment of DB who was the financial stake holder?

So are you saying the numbers reported on the financial statements were accurate? Why were they not able to prove that in court?

    Yes there was.

Every business in NY that plays by the rules is harmed when another business cheats and gets away with it.

NY state is harmed if it becomes known as a place where it is ok for companies to commit fraud without consequence.

What financial statements? DB entered into a loan contract with Trump. There was no fraud in that.

    Play by what rules?

Trump entered into a loan contact with Trump. DB knew what the properties were worth.

The article I read claimed he submitted financial statements with fraudulent information. I am not sure of the details but when I hear financial statements I assume statements like balance sheet, income statements etc... The fact that the company controller was involves makes me believe these are corporate statements. Is that not the case?

Has NOTHING to do with "paying back loans". Do Trumpers actually understand what he did and why he is in this amount of trouble??

Indeed. Good thing the economy is getting better ( thx to Biden) , they will have more money to pay his legal debts. Too bad such devotion will not be appreciated by the sleazy shyster.

    Karma can be beautiful. ;-)

He is trying to taint the justice system with his lies and accusations. This kind of attitude cam stir his tribe into aggressive behavior & chaos . He has done it once alrady.

No….. the opposite in fact. Trump University stank on ice and it would have made honest businessmen uncomfortable with the thought that some and only some could quite so blatantly rip off people.

Yep! And what he did was illegal - and it was not the first time he has been found to have committed fraud
