Trump says Cruz’s Canadian birth could be ‘very precarious’ for GOP at a rally in LOWELL, Mass. — Donald Trump said during an interview that rival Ted Cruz’s Canadian birthplace was a “very precarious” issue and that it could make Cruz vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee. “Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: ‘Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?’ That’d be a big problem,” Trump said.

I recall bring this up a while ago here ,,,,,

So is Trump being genuine in his concern about the potential effect of Cruz being a foreigner and is Trump really concerned about Cruz 's foreign birth affecting the GOP or, is the real truth that Cruz is tracking up in Iowa and Trump needed to attack ?

So what say you Trump supporters, GOP loyalists or you Democrats is Trump being genuine ?

    I know what I think!!

When Cruz was 20 points down Trump couldn't care less if Cruz was born on the moon from a Martian father and a mom from Venus. That aside, perhaps it is time to get a ruling from the SCOTUS to exactly what is a natural born citizen. Most constitutional scholars think anyone born of U.S. parents, those who are citizens already regardless of where they are born is an American citizen and thus a natural born citizen.

Ted Cruz mother is an American, his father was from Cuba who was granted asylum in the U.S. after Castro took over and later became a Canadian citizen. Ted Cruz did hold dual citizenship until recently, Canada and U.S. So I would say his case is not open and shut. Although as I stated, most constitutional scholars hold the view he is an American citizen and thus naturally born.

One other thing, if Trump pushes this he runs the chance of alienating a bunch of Cruz supporters and thus may lose them in the general election if Trump wins the nomination. Romney alienating a bunch of Gingrich supports in Florida back in 2012 probably cost Romney that state. One expects Democrats to attack Cruz on this, not fellow Republicans. Perhaps Trump is getting scared.

The way I understand it Cruz is considered a natural born American because at least one of his parents was an American citizen prior to temporarily leaving the US and the parent was a person of age 21 or older. I was bothered by the dual citizenship but if he did not ask for dual citizenship he is in the clear.

What I find funny is that Trump was the lead BirtherHead against Obama and looky here one of your none other than Weasel Boy Cruz has a birth defect - born out of country.

Funny how that works, but not surprising. My son and oldest daughter were born in Thailand. I was in the army then to a Thai national mother. Both were considered American citizens at the time of birth. The wife has since become a naturalized American citizen. Most candidates and both parties do not adhere of the old saying, "What is good for the goose is good for the gander."

I love to tweak Birther-Heads with this stuff. I became a Naturalized citizen when I was 18 before going into college the first time because I had signed up for ROTC. I get a kick out of the wackiest of the Right Twingers who do not believe that Naturalized Americans are real Americans. College didn't work out that first time but the Naturalization thing worked great in that the Viet Cong tried to kill me just a hard as they tried to kill natural born Americans.

I must say, it is fascinating to watch, especially since it is apparent that Trump is going by his own playbook "The Art of The Deal" verbatim - intimidation, lying, bullying.

It is just fascinating to watch a guy who embraced a bunch of Liberal policies not long ago, who has been married three times and even said on TV that his own daughter is so hot that he would boink her - that people actually consider this man to be a Conservative.

I mean, there is stupid and then there is 2015-2016...

The being married multiple times and being a pervert of and in the mind can be a Conservative thing as it could be a liberal failing or Republican, Democrat, or any damn political bent there is. Scum bucketness and perversion is not a political trait and not solely of one side

I thought Trump was a joke until he attacked Fox News, calling that Krauthammer guy a loser to his face. That's when I knew Trump was my guy. These limp wristed politicians are losers. The analysts, the contributors, the pundits ARE LOSERS. I've known that for a long time and am so happy someone with a platform is calling them out on it. Someone with a real job at that. It is true beauty. Go Trump!

Trump will find out that real estate development and running a country are not the same. Running a company and a country is not the same. He will find out that the Congress and a board of directors do not behave the same way.

The talking heads may indeed be losers and many indeed are losers who ran for office and lost, held office and lost, were someone once but are just another talking head. But when the Trumpet gets into office he have the talking heads yapping at him and just calling they stupid, or AH's, or losers will not make them go away. Unless he tries to close down the networks with one of his Executive Orders.

At least 1 Democrat US Senator has vowed to challenge Cruz' legality as potential president if he wins the nomination, so this isn't entirely out of thin air by Trump. The issue of a person not born in the USA becoming President has never been before the US Supreme Court. The Constitution does not say anyone born to an American citizen can be president.

The Constitution says: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

The phrase "naturalized" only applies to citizenship, not eligibility to become president or VP. So, is Cruz a "natural born Citizen" - particularly since he had and held Canadian citizenship by his birth and kept that Canadian citizenship until last year? That would seem to contradict the Constitution.

Politicians being politicians doesn't bother me. Politicians answering to their donors and doing nothing to stop outsourcing and illegal immigration that is wrecking American society bothers me. Stop playing games.

Let's get it straight, Trump haters. None of you have offered viable solutions to the issues Trump has made the focal point of his campaign, ie, the establishment's bread and butter, exploited foreign laborers that are wrecking wages and taking jobs from Americans.

You have done nothing but play the same old political crap games that gave rise to Trump's candidacy in the first place: He's Hitler! He can't really do all that stuff! Only racists support Trump! Trump is a clown! Trump said something mean and mean people can't be president!

It is not very subtle what you are doing by avoiding the discussion about foreign labor entirely. You are endorsing the exploitation of oppressed foreigners and don't want to talk about it. Like when slavery still existed and people just looked the other way because it would hurt the economy to abolish it. This is America's next great sin and all of you who vote for the establishment are guilty.

You want to let businesses make huge profits off of those laborers and then tax them and set wage floors to redistribute to undeserving Americans who can't be bothered with hard labor. You should be ashamed.

Donald Trump obviously has great experience with the whole "Birther" tactic...unfortunately he does not seem to have learned the futility of it. Perhaps this time it might stick based on the birth certificate...probably not though.

Let's get it straight, Trump fans!

What do think who build his buildings at least too due to cost savings? These illegal aliens he is now shouting against because taking away jobs from Americans!
Really, do they? What are these jobs at least often? Those jobs where you rarely find an US citizen to do it, because low paid!

What is about to force companies like Apple to install inside the USA their production plant instead outsourcing to cheap countries to safe costs and so to kill millions of jobs when we take in account all US companies doing so?
The really impudent thing with it is that these companies safe costs only to raise profit only, but not to make it cheaper for end-user like you and me!
look ... I-Phone 6 Plus costs 649.00 USD! The pure production in China + transport + charges for the development and so on does not make even 25% of the price in sum! So ask yourself how big the profit span here is and so out of this why it is then so necessary to kill some thousand jobs in the USA and to raise a plant in China! What does Donald Dump say about this please?
