Trump says he expects to be arrested on Tuesday, calls for protests

Protests!

Indeed, not being satisfied with his last call for protests,which ended with like 900 people charged and police beaten, the former president is once again calling on his faithful to protest.

This time, he wants them to protest his apparent pending arrest.

Not sure what exactly they would be protesting against. I am of the mind the failed former president may be sorely disappointed a low turn out.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he expects to be arrested on Tuesday as prosecutors consider charges over a hush money payment to a porn star, and called on his supporters to protest.

"Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorney's office ... indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven ... the far & away leading Republican candidate & former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week," Trump wrote on Truth Social.


"Protest, take our nation back!" said Trump, whose supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, to try to overturn his 2020 presidential election defeat.

 

You have to read between the lines. Trump is REALLY telling his supporters to kill Democrats so the only way we can stop this is to roll tanks into the streets before Tuesday and start arresting everyone that doesn't have a voluminous and consistent social media record of opposing Trump. We just can't trust this kind of thing to ordinary people. The military needs to be called out NOW and Trump supporters MUST be arrested or otherwise prevented from the violence we all KNOW is going to occur. We can never be a free country as long as people disagree with liberal progressives!!

I’ll believe it when I see it, the wealthy and connected very rarely see justice for the crimes so I doubt this goes anywhere. Also since trump said it was happening it makes me believe it isn’t happening looking at his past ability to recite nothing but lies.

 

Trump only cares about himself and will use others to fight for his mistakes.

No, it is not. All the liberals on this forum, I've seen, are consistent-- unlike all of those on the Right-- that crime is criminal, & deserves punishment. You will find no one here, excusing criminal acts of any associated with, for example, BLM. What you will see, is our differentiating the few who committed criminal acts, from the vast majority, who did not. You will also hear no calls for the release of BLM protesters, a substantial number whom were arrested for criminal behavior, during that period of the George Floyd protests. So don't try pinning your hypocrisy, on anyone but yourself.

 

Let's assume for a moment that it's not happening as Trump claims, I wonder how much money he's raised so far from this??? One thing that's always 1000% consistent is the grievance fundraising grift...regardless, dangerous times are still upon us. The intimidation factor is also in play...

Funny-- I have just taken this same post, as satire. That is, my take is that @Tucsonian is lampooning some imaginary "Lefties," calling for all Trump supporters to be arrested. It will be interesting to see which one of us is right. I know the same thing sometimes happens, when more Liberal members, post ridiculous, far Right opinions, and are take seriously. I think, though, there is more justification for confusing the real and fake crazy talk, representing the Right, than the bulk of the real posts on the Left, with their parodies, such as, I believe, this one to be. But I'll admit, the Left has its wing nuts, as well (just not as high a proportion).

 

I recognized it as satire also. I just pointed out the reality of it.

 

I was once pissed that he was blindly stealing from my fellow Americans, some making personal sacrifices to donate to a “billionaire”. But now I enjoy it — they have worked hard and deserve every cent they lose.

 

If, come Tuesday, a warrant for his arrest is actually issued, there are all manner of twists and turns possible. This is the first of a number of investigations into the doings of Mr. Trump that could result in convictions. Meanwhile, there's the missing gifts and the possibility of another raid on Mr. rump's properties. We may be in for an interesting spring and, perhaps summer as the show continues. I've stocked in a good supply of popcorn.
