Obviously, Trump is unable to accept criticism and that is one of his many shortcomings. The Mayor had panicked, and with good cause, since there was death and destruction all around her. Instead of acting like the leader of our country and recognizing her agony, he chose to berate her, saying that "she said nice things about me the other day". It's all about Trump and nothing else matters.
Players haven't any 1st amendment right to free commercial air time. Players aren't paid advertisers. Political activists aren't permitted on the field or the the sidelines. No "conversation" can be had either, and here's another problem: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal-time_rule All of these protests are in violation of FCC laws.
It's all about Cruz constituents suffering because of her inadequacies, and emotional breakdown. Undoubtedly residents were demanding answers, and she started scapegoating to conceal her inability to cope. She should have put someone better emotionally equipped in charge and retreated to her safe space.
Oh you wont be able to get illiberals to think. Forgetaboutit. Aint happenin. They even shut down their own kinds free speech.
Sorry, but Trump spent last weekend berating the NFL when the people of Puerto Rico needed his undivided attention. How does one cope with that amount of destruction, when there is no help from our so called President? She had no emotional breakdown nor is she inadequate in the face of death and destruction. It is, unfortunately, Trump who is inadequate as he plays golf rather than attend to the chaos at hand. Shame on him.
No POTUS has the luxury of giving anyone, or anything undivided attention. Though it seems Cruz has MSM's undivided attention at the moment ... maybe the NFL should have put kneeling for Kaepernick on the back burner, and stood up for PR ...
"3,400 commercial containers at its terminal now" in San Juan. What more do you expect him to do? "Sorry, but Trump spent last weekend berating the NFL when the people of Puerto Rico needed his undivided attention. How does one cope with that amount of destruction, when there is no help from our so called President?"
It's hardly a gratuitous insult to point out that someone keeps avoiding your questions. I mean, this is meant to be a discussion after all.
MSM? What the hell did they have to do with it? Nada. Blame the media for the faux pas by Trump. He sure gave his undivided attention to berating the NFL players, a totally unimportant event when compared to the debacle in Puerto Rico. Trump has plenty of time on his hands. Golf, anybody?
The big difference between the two is that no one has ever questioned Trump's loyalty to his country or its people. Donald Trump would never spend a day in a Church where the preacher was shouting "*******n America!", much less 20 years.
They went to PR to find suffering that they could attribute to Trump. They sought out someone willing to become the spokesperson for their narrative. A mayor with a 26% approval rating, facing re-election, and failing miserably to meet the challenges of the disaster got the job. She's been acting more like a CNN news contributor, than a mayor managing a disaster.
Thank you for sharing. The news reporters, Fox and others, went there to report the damage, which is their job. They spoke to the top official in San Juan, just as they spoke with the mayors on the mainland after the hurricane. They went there to find suffering to nail Trump with? This type of reasoning is par for the uneducated and uninformed Trump base. People are dying, you fool.
That wouldn't accomplish anything. Left-wingers have been indoctrinated rather than educated and they need something akin to an 'intervention' in order to begin thinking rationally again. Do you see how many of them continually turn on their own country and its inherited cultural values, as well as their democratic neighbors, without suggesting an alternative? Watch them more closely and you'll see it happening yourself. Communists, Fascists, Nazis, and now Islamists, have all used the same tactics and continue to do so. This is not saying that our societies can't improve but nor should they be destroyed and the whole process, under a completely new system, begun. Watch the complaints against Donald Trump, for example, a man Americans have known throughout his entire adult life, and who has been transformed into a racist, a crazy man, soulless, etc. with dozens of ugly epithets being applied to him. Maybe this name calling is simply irrational or maybe there's another agenda. That's for honest people to decide.
In fact the Republicans are doing quite well while the popularity of the Democrats continues to fall. Perhaps accusing their fellow Americans of being filled with "hate and rage", and "deplorables", as well as dividing the country along racial lines, is contributing to that.
Can you cite some sources that show the Republicans are "doing quite well"? I was talking to a friend last week who works for the NH GOP and she told me the indicators are showing just the opposite.
Are you really claiming that the President can't, over an entire weekend, question what's going on in Puerto Rica while also commenting on the NFL?
Perhaps you should look to more reliable sources. Even CNN recognizes what's happening, though in a very modest way. Is Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi or Bernie Sanders really the future of the Democrats. How do they rid themselves of the scandals of Debbie Wasserman Shultz, the IRS, Eric Holder, etc? Would you seriously want to vote for a party with that sort of internal graft, corruption and lies? http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/23/politics/donald-trump-approval-poll/index.html
That's from April of 2017. Can you please post some recent polls that show the Republicans are doing well? My source if very reliable. She works for Jeanie Forester who is the head of the NH GOP.
